Has anyone used the ipod rental instead of a Dj? If so what were your experiences!

We rented the speaker system(because it included a microphone for speeches). This worked out really well for us. They had a staff person running it. They had a connection for our iPod, and the staff person turned on the music, and then faded it out when people stood up for speeches. He would also then fade the music back on after the speech. Then after dinner he set the iPod onto our dance lists and it worked out great for us. ( we had set playlists for dinner1, dinner2, dancing1, dancing2, first dance) So I realize it's not the iPod rental exactly, but it's another option vs. a DJ. (I think it cost $250?)

Is anyone or has anyone used the music setup that Azul provides for the ceremony? In my package "Music equipment - Romantic songs and wedding march" is included. Any additional information on this such as what songs are played, etc.?

I used their equipment and had my own playlist of songs.  Someone from the resort ran my ipod with the playlist on it and they did a phenomenal job!  That was actually one of the things I was sort of worried about...that they wouldn't know when to play certain music...but I guess they do so many weddings.  It was GREAT!

That is included in my package as well. I asked my WC, Erika, and she emailed me a list of songs they have and also said if I wanted I could use my own playlist on my iPod.

I'm up in the air about making my own playlist of songs on my iPod too so that's very relieving that they did such an amazing job. Also good to know they have a list to choose from.. My WC Lynda hasn't sent me anything so I guess i'll ask her too. Thanks ladies!

The nice thing about making your own play list is that you get the exact version of the songs that you want

The DJ was from Lomas Travel - they were fantastic! The DJ actually brought the glow sticks and balloons. We brought the paper lanterns which we purchased at www.paperlanternstore.com
