Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

We booked dj doremixx bc even with the vendor fee he was only like 100 more than the two the resort offers and I really like all the reviews I read about him vs the fact that I couldn't seem to find ANY info on the others and they don't (or didn't) have their own website, etc. it just made me feel like I would be booking a DJ that I didn't know anything about

has anyone decided on the flowers they're using (in particular brides who are getting married in march-ish springtime)? i just found out a lot of the flowers i lvoe aren't in season while we're there!
We are June but I just ordered mine from afloral.com and I am very happy with them especially for the price. This was I also didn't have to worry about what's in season.

Our ttd was on Saturday as well and we left Sunday morning. Because we also had pics on the beach the sun did a very good job of drying the dress. The dress was still damp when we got back to the resort so I just hung it up and kept our patio door open and the breeze completely dried it before we left on Sunday morning. And yes the dress was totally trashed because a lot of the stitching ripped open but I still wanted to keep it so I brought it home and hung it up in the bag in the basement. If I even attempted to clean it I think it would really fall apart.  Eva
Thank you so much! This makes me feel a lot better about my plan! :) thank you!

We had a reception with 63 guests at Plaza Zavas and it felt very private. No strangers walking around, etc. It's set off from the main area, and people have to actually walk down paths to get to the plaza, so usually people realize it's a wedding and just stay clear! Check out this thread for photos: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/84306/official-azul-sensatori-thread It might sound a little tacky, but I don't know if you'll have a small table with a guest book/seat chart/etc., but perhaps you could buy a few bottles of bug spray and leave them there for your guests to use (with a cute note)? Most of your men will be wearing long pants so they should be okay. And it was only around dusk that it seemed bad. So hopefully later in the night they will have gone to sleep. You've been added to the offical Bride Roll Call! :welcome: I think it really depends on your dress. I had a mostly lace dress and it took a beating and survived the wedding (which included stepping in black gum, and ripping a lot of the lining), trash the dress (salt water, pool water, hot tub), and 2 at home receptions! My advice is once you are done, wear it straight into the shower and rinse it off in fresh water as best as possible. Then hang it up outside to dry as quick as possible. Then pack it and make sure to take it out at home ASAP to finish drying. Then depending on how it looks take it to a dry cleaner. (my dry cleaning saw my dress 3 times....and couldn't stop laughing the whole time!) What's your wedding date? I will add you to the roll call. Please take a look at the Official thread for more info: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/84306/official-azul-sensatori-thread Personally there was very little seaweed (plus the resort sweeps it away daily). But it is not a great beach :-  You can go into the water, but be careful of the old coral/rocky bottom. Plus it's quite shallow. The only real bonus is if you upgrade to the swim up in the premium with the hot tub. Other than that, the rooms inside are identical, and for the most part you'll be at the other pools with your guests, so you will not be taking full advantage of the extra service. Personally I think the swim up room in the adults section will likely be a great choice. And should you be offered the honeymoon suite be aware they are in the middle buildings up high. Room inside the same, but the balcony oceanside is HUGE! And super exciting to hear you have more guests joining!
Thank you very much for the advice and tips!!

Ladies, I have to share my music solution with you.

I've been hard at work at my wedding playlists since we're not doing a DJ. I'm a freelance iPhone app reviewer and I came across one called My WeddingDJ https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/my-weddingdj/id383243064?mt=8

So far it's great and definitely worth the $2! You just pop in the tracks you want under the preset categories, like pre ceremony or first dance, or you can create your own categories.

The interface is super simple and since your playlists are stored in the app, there's no chance of the wrong song playing and you set the order of when music comes up. All the operator has to do is slide the bar to start. You can also select the option for waiting time in between moments. When you end a song or skip to the next the app also will crossfade it for you so you don't have do any of that work on the front end in iTunes.

It also looks like there's an option for the app to take requests from your iTunes library during your reception, but I haven't started playing with that yet.

Some of the reviews said there was an issue with DRM coded music, but since most of my songs are pre DRM or from Amazon, I can't tell if that's still an issue.

Anyway, if you're bringing down your own setup or want to provide your own music for ceremony, I definitely recommend checking this out.
