I'm pleased to share with you my Save the Date!  This is by Serendipity Beyond Design.  They did a fantastic job and I'm very excited to send them out!

Hi ladies,

 

I am officially stressing.  A few months ago I thought it would be a brilliant idea for us to attend a friend's destination wedding in Myrte Beach this weekend.  Yes this weekend, 3 days before we leave for Mexico.  My FI and I are both kicking ourselves because we have so much to do and we cannot no show.  I have one very important questions.  Isnn't an IPOD station provided for private events.  We have a DJ for the wedding but I was going to have the IPOD for our welcome BBQ private event.  I was just getting ready to make a note to bring my BOSE docking station, when I THOUGHT someone may have said they provide these for private events.  Please adivse.  Thanks!!!!!

They were going to charge me $250 for the Welcome BBQ for a sound system so we brought our own and they let us use it.

I would double check with your WC but if you got it for free then roll with it

Good question...I was just wondering the same thing ....for the welcome BBQ and perhaps the cocktail hour on the beach prior to the reception.  What did other ladies do for music between the wedding/reception and/or at a private welcome event??

Between the Ceremoney and Reception I had an Hour and half so my guests were all over the place. They knew where to go for reception and then we did

INTRO - I work in Radio so I had one of the DJ do a voiceover for me. I didn't want to pay for a DJ so we just hooked up our IPOD to the system and it was fine

Then we did Bride and Groom first dance

Mom And Groom

Bride and Brother

Then I did about 40 min of soft dinner music, love songs, etc

Then 3 hours and some change of dance music

 

For the Welcome Party the day before I did about 2 hours of just songs we both like, no real theme. Kinda like the best jukebox in the world and hit shuffle on my Ipod on our Ihome. It was good background noise

I think I have her name written down...but I am at work right now and then heading to Ottawa for our last AHR. So I will check on Tuesday once we're home.

They provide an Ipod player for your ceremony ONLY! (free of cost)

 

For any other event you have to play the fee for the sound dock or provide your own. We brought down our sound dock and had no problems using it! (there are electric plugs everywhere) As a backup, especially if you have a small group, the Ipod alarm in your room could work! We saw a group bring the radio/alarm Ipod to the pool area, and had the bartender plug it in. It worked quite well.
