Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hello Ladies,

So I am finally back to the real world! Our wedding was stunning-could not have asked for anything better. All of our guests had an amazing time, and the wedding coordinators on site are super. Don't stress too much, they will make everything perfect! I will be trying to get my review and planning journal done in the next week.

For brides with the Plaza Zavez reception location, I really want to have "Christmas" lights wrapped around the poles. Have you purchased any? Seen pictures? Know how much it costs there?

How about lanterns? I have found the lanterns online, but I think there is some sort of DIY that needs to be done for the lights? I'm not a great DIY-er at all! Can anyone help?

Don't know how much the Xmas lights are to rent, but there are tons on electric outlets so you can just bring some if you want. It does look pretty, but I don't have any photos.

We did laterns. Bought them from Asia Ideas. The LED light project is super easy! If you need help, just email me.

Thanks everyone! Sorry I wasn't online much, we were super busy everyday with our 63 guests! And then we just relaxed as a newly wed couple for our 3 free days after everyone left.

I had Angie. I found she usually responsed better when I talked to her over the phone. And also if she tells you no, don't accept that answer. I was told NO constantly and in the end got everything I wanted!

She also just told me Doremixx is not allowed at the resort but I've seen numerous brides on here who have booked him/them. I'm going to fight it!

Don't let this deter you. If you bring the photographer with you as a guest (ie they stay for 3 days or more, you do not have to pay the vendor fee) Also depending on when your contract was signed it should still be $500! Fight for it. I was amazed at how easily they agree to things, just for me bringing up things.

Our quote has been the same for 3 adults in a room as 2 adults in a room.  Here is what our guests are quoted on our website for 3 days:

Jacuzzi Junior Suite - 1 Adult - $651.92

Jacuzzi Junior Suite - 2 Adults - $682.08

Luxury Jacuzzi Junior Suite - 1 Adult - $682.08

Luxury Jacuzzi Junior Suite - 2 Adults - $532.44

Luxury Jacuzzi Junior Suite - 3 Adults - $532.44

Don't let the room names trick you. All the rooms are almost identical. The difference of Jacuzzi to Luxury Jacazzi is what building it's in. Also the Jacazzi rooms usually only have one bed (ie queen or king), while the Luxury Jacazzi rooms have the option of 2 double beds. If I remember correctly the Jacuzzi rooms are in the adult building (2) and the family building (4). The Luxury Jacuzzi rooms are in building #3. The premium rooms are also almost identical, the bonus being free wifi, room scents, and if you have the swim unit room, a hot tub.

FunJet is charter company similar to Signature vacations or Sunwing. Out of Canada, you can look, I have seen Funjet offer packages, but it's rare. And for Canadian guests, only Signature and Sunwing carry Karisma resorts.

About half of our guests are Canadian, so I wanted to give them the best direction possible.

Thanks!

US dollars for sure! It's super easy.

They are sand fleas! Some of our guests got affected, but mostly did not even notice.

Welcome kerry!  These ladies are the best!  They will be your TA, help you coordinate and support you!  They have been heaven sent for me.  Trust me those 15 months will fly by so fast!  I was upset when we decided to have our wedding 14 months away from our engagement date but now I am so thankful we did.  Everything and I mean everything just starts to happen. So buckle up and enjoy the emotional ride to bliss!  It will all be worth it!

I can highly recommend LOMAS travel for the transfers. We used them for a number of things and they were wonderful to us. We got a luxury Lincoln Navigator SUV with driver for 4 hours for $120US. He stayed with us the whole time and was super nice. We also used them for drop off services for our guests to go sightseeing, and the vans were always there waiting for them on their return. Adrian was the main guy at the hotel, his desk was up in the Lobby and he was great at arranging things for us, even very last minute.

We did the exotic gazebo, and the onsite coordinator will drape the fabric for you! Also we had them move the bouquets to the dinner site.

Did you rent your vases at the ceremony from them or bring them with you? About how much were they to rent if you did?

I added all these details to the comment section of my detail sheet so that it could not be missed!

I don''t know the price of the tall vases. But we went into Cancun to buy vases for our centerpieces. The vases we found were about 10" tall, about 6" in diameter. We bought 8 vases for $12US total.

The store were we bought them was located just outside of Market 23 (the local food market). This is also were we bought some local Mexican sweets/treats for our guests.

welcome back murmel!!!  I am so happy that last minute things work with the lomas group.  My friends want to go to Coco bongo in playa del carmen or Cancun.  I wasn't sure if this was going to possible but i think it will work its way out.  I will coordinate things once down there.  Ok based on what yo have seen what is a cool place to meet for a welcome party before dinner.  I would love to meet at a bar or location to mingle with guest and then make reservations for the group for dinner.  Was the mexican restaurant good? Any suggestions ladies.  We are doing the spoon for rehearsal dinner.  Ok one more question do you actually have a rehearsal of how the ceremony will flow with music and everything?  So happy your back and can't wait to see the review!

Thanks!

For your friends, if you want someone local to accompany them into town late at night. Talk to Oscar the bellhop. He took a bunch of our friends into town and made sure everyone was safe and got back.(but they did not leave until the end of his shift 1130pm? I think)If you want to do a tour, there are a bunch as well.( I know that Lomas tours can do a return trip van (holds 7) for $100 (to Cancun). They pick you up at the resort, drop you off in town, and then the van will be waiting outside at the predetermined time.  Talk to Adrian at the resort, he's in the lobby at the Lomas desk! Tell him you are getting married, and he will be super helpful! He bent over backwards to make sure everything went smoothly for us :)

Good spots for meeting up with people. Depends on your number of guests. The adult bar, by the adult pool is stunning at night, with the multicolor lights. (good for about 15-25 guests). Lots of chairs and tables. The Mojoito lounge (adults only) in the lobby building, but will hold lots of people. You could also tell people to meet right in the lobby, there are great couches, and this would allow for kids. And for drinks, just run into the Mojoito bar. The backside of the Mexican restaurant has some nice chairs and tables (likely good for about 20-30) and kids could join. And the bar is great!   We often met people is the 'coffee hut'. At the bottom of the giant stairs behind the lobby building. There are lots of chairs, tables, hangs beds, pop machine, coffee machine. For drinks run back up to the Mojoito lounge, or the back of the Mexican restuarant. We usually went up to the Mojioto lounge and had one of the waiters carry all the drinks down for us! Tipped him $5 and he would come down every 20 minutes to take orders. Keep in mind there was usually no less than 30 of us sitting and singing down there! And the kids loved the swinging beds.

All the food was great! No complaints. A lot of the families liked Spoon, just because it was a buffet and the kids didn't have to wait for the food. They just wanted to get back out to play at the kids club. The parents loved it. They had to feed the kids between 5-7pm. and then from 7pm to 9:30 the kids would be busy in the kids club again. So every night the parents could join others and have a nice dinner!

I was so nervous about the ceremony and how it would flow! There is no rehersal, so it worried me. But they go through the details with you. Example: how will the groom enter, groomsmen, bridesmaids, bride, etc. , special details, etc. Best thing I can suggest: MAKE YOUR IPOD LISTS SIMPLE. We had   1) guest arrival music; 2) grooms entrance; 3) brides entrance; 4) registry signing; 5) exit music. They simply hit the correct list and they do an amazing job of it. My song was a bit long, and they just faded it.

The basics of my ceremony. The guests sat down. The groom and his groomsmen entered. Bridesmaids enter, I walked down the aisle. The judge asked who was giving me away (my sister walked me down). Then she asked guests to sit and welcomed everyone. Basic little intro about marriage and then started into the vows. Repeat after me type. After this we said our own vows. She then went through ring exchange. We then  went and signed a certificate. Pronounced us husband and wife. We kissed and exited. At the end of the wooden runner we were greeted by a waiter with a tray of Mojoitos (custom cocktail-just ask for it when you have your meeting with the ONSITE coordinators. When I asked the Miami WC it was suppose to cost me $200. It cost us nothing onsite!) **Please note we did the symbolic ceremony- not legal.

Hope that helps! And the onsite coordinators will keep telling you "Don't worry". It's hard to do, but they do an amazing job.

I rented the tall glass vases with flower arrangements included.  From the lomas website you go to the "Bouquets category" and then click on "decorations and set up".  They were 60$ each and were transferred to the reception for use as centrepieces after the ceremony.
