Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

We actually went to the dollar store purchased 8 picture frames for our table and printed pictures of ourselves at each age. ex. the top said "Here we are at age" and then the table number 3 and then we had a picture of me and him at age 3...I wish I had a picture of it but I dont for now...I'll try to ask around for one :)  I havent heard of the resort providing it but I'm sure they may have something but I'm also sure you'll probably have to pay for it too...

I got married on Oct 10, 2010 at 530pm. We actually met an hour before the ceremony to take some pictures with the day light. Once the ceremony was over.. the sun was gone very quickly. You don't see the sunset much cause you are in Mexico. I highly recommend you getting married around 3-4pm-ish if you are planning to take some pictures with daylight. Also because it's October.. there are tons of mosquitoes at night...we had a very breeze night so mosquitoes eventually went away but it was very painful for first hour into the reception on the beach. Depends on how long you want to take the pictures (before or after) will determine when you need to have the ceremony. I thought 530pm was little too late... though this was perfect for us since we took pictures before the wedding and we had less bystanders watching our wedding.

Here are some pictures from my wedding. By the time we were done with family/friends pictures... the sun was GONE! You can see that there was a great sunlight during our ceremony and by the time we were done with the pictures (my sister and I).. the sun was gone!

Great pictures! And good tips :)

We're having our ceremony at 4:30pm on Oct 22nd, and planning on taking pics before and after.

I'm worried about the mosquitos as well, they were pretty bad when we were visiting a couple weeks ago (at least at NOW Jade, where we stayed). Did you have issues every night? Day too?  In your opinion do you think Zavas plaza would be more protected? Maybe we should burn citronella!

We stayed at the resort in April, and I can't remember seeing one mosquito. But it was quite windy while we were there, so perhaps that's why. But we are travelled a fair bit in the area, and I can't really say I have ever had a problem....and mosquitos Love me! LOL

We're getting married at Azul Beach on July 30 and decided to have the ceremony at 11 a.m.  Any perspectives on that choice?  Our thinking was that we can get the ceremony done early, while the light is good and mosquitos asleep, and then have a wedding luncheon and celebrate for the rest of the day.  We're only going down for five days, and I don't want to spend an entire day getting ready, full of nerves.  I'd rather get the ceremony and primping over with in the morning, and spend the day having fun with the group.  We may even do a couples massage and have some down time just for us in the afternoon, before heading out to the pool (in my white swimsuit, of course!).

But now I'm worried that the beach will be crowded with onlookers in the late morning.  Any thoughts on a morning versus an afternoon ceremony?

I am trying to figure out the same thing.  I guess it really depends on what we want?  I am thinking of doing it at around 4:00pm in October, as sunset is around 6pm...I wanted the cocktail reception to be at sunset...and into a private dinner, but its all what you want right?  That sounds like a really relaxing day to do it the way you described above!!!  I would suggest checking to see how hot it gets at that time during July?  that might play a part in what time works best for you!

Either way, good luck, and I am sure it will be great!
