I am still happy that I chose the resort. When we were there the resort did not seem fully ready to for guests, but once they are fully up and running I am hoping things will get much better! :-) Karisma really does put on gorgeous weddings and I think that is the reason most of us chose Azul Sensatori to begin with. I think most of the negatives will be fixed in no time. And I am hoping the beach will get cleaned up too! From what I hear most new resorts experience the same problems in the opening months, so I am not stressing too much about it. cheers.gif

That seems a bit steep. Then again, I've never had my make up "professionally" done. Personally, I thought I'd go to Sephora, speak with them about the make up I usually wear and have them show me how to do a wedding one, buy their product (if I'm really sold on it wink.gif ) and try to reconstruct it on the day of my wedding. I'd prefer to look like myself, but I will need tips on how to make sure my make up doesn't come off with humidity and for photos... and I don't wear a foundation, so I don't want a cake on my face.

That is pretty on par (even less) than what they charge in NYC. Maybe it's so expensive because it is great!!!

Regarding the negative reviews, I think we all need to stay positive and envision our weddings exactly how we envision them. Yes, I sound like a tree-hugging, "Secret" watching freak right now - but sending positive energy to the Azul Sensatori may make us all a bit happier/less crazed. Happy thoughts

thanks Lenka for your review - I was there a month ago for my site visit. Sounds like not much has changed... Hopefully, the next couple of months will allow Karisma to work out the kinks.

The water/beach was a disappointment for us too - but it did seem (when we were there) that they dredged the seaweed every day. So at least for ceremonies on the beach that can be rectified.

Glad to hear about the BBQ menu - great feedback!

We chose Azul Sensatori over Azul Beach for 2 reasons.

1. The rooms at Azul Beach are very small and plain. There is really no area at the sink to set your things and the room with the toilet and shower is super tiny (if I remember correctly).

There is one suite that looked super nice, but I hadn't seen it in person.

2. Azul Beach is a small resort. We liked that Sensatori would have more choices for dining and bars. Also the pools at Azul Beach are kinda like pools one would have in their backyard. Sensatoris pools are very nice (if they ever get warm).

Hope that helps!
