Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

That does sound like a great deal.  Especially if you love his style!  Another question is if this price includes the rights to all of the photos.  And if editing is included.  This is another way some photographers can sneak a few $100 out of you later.

Our ceremony is at 5pm.  Do you think 7pm is too late to start the reception without a cocktail hour in between?

Thanks Jaime! Our WC said it would be no problem to switch it, so I think I will go ahead and do that. I guess the only thing I worry about now, is the fact that our wedding is at 3pm - is that too long between wedding and reception?

During my last visit I paid special attention to different locations at different times of day and noticed the beach area stayed occupied til about 5, then the pools til about 6.

Hope this helps!

I personally am going starting either at 6 or maybe even pushing it back to 6.30 and we're doing PLaza Zavas too.  Our ceremony is for 4pm.  We figure people can go relax for an hour and a half or head over to one of the bars for cocktails etc. while we get photos taken.  That way the plaza will be more private by the time we get there (also the party will go later into the night which is a plus for us).

I think 6 is the better time too...our wedding is at 3 though, do you think thats too long between wedding and reception - 3 hours???

I'm doing the same thing.  I don't think its a long time.  Ceremony will be done by 5:30 - I will be telling my guests to linger by the bar - I'm sure there won't be many disappointed guests!

I'm undecided if I will have a cocktail party between my 5pm ceremony and 7pm reception.  Will depend on whats left of the budget!  If I dont do a cocktail hour, I plan to suggest one bar for everyone to meet at while they wait.

I saw 2 brides do this during my visit in March and it didn't seem odd at all.  Of course an organized cocktail party would be great...but if you can't afford it, I dont think any guests would know the difference.

Ms. H - I think you could do the same thing for your 2 1/2 hour gap.  Suggest a specific bar for everyone to go to.  Or you could also suggest a cat nap so they can party all night :)
