Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Thanks guys - I must have been mistaken :)

@@jmp403 I was told $25pp as well

It's $25/pp at Azul Fives, I imagine it would be the same for Sensatori. Although if you have it in writing that they said $10/pp you could definitely fight for it.

$25/pp is what I had in my contract but just what @@snswedding2016 said if you have it in writing you can fight for it

Hi everyone! I am officially booked for our wedding date at Azul Sensatori Mexico for January 21, 2017!!! Woohoo! We are so excited and I hope I can join this group and get more helpful information from fellow brides. Thank you!!

We are getting married on the sky deck at 6pm on Saturday january 21, 2017. Does anyone know if it will be dark by that time? Trying to prepare for extra lighting if needed. Thank you!

Congrats and welcome @@sarahjayne07!!  This is an exciting time.

I got married on the sky deck in Nov 2015 - its beautiful!  It will be dark at 6 though.  In November, the sunset was about 6:05 and it got dark very quickly.  So I'm sure the sun will set earlier in January.  Something to think about if you want to be able to do pictures after the ceremony.

It will be dark. I got married January 21 2015 and it was dark by 530! You can google sunset times too. But I'm pretty confident saying it will be pitch black at 6pm.

@sarahjayne07

I got married Jan 9 2016 and there was still light out at 6pm but it was rapidly getting darker by that point. We started our reception off with our first dance at 6pm so that we could catch the light. Our sunset time was roughly 6:30pm.

Here is our first dance

...still pretty light out

by the middle of our dinner it was like this

keep in mind we had string lights, general event lighting from the garden, tiki torches and candles.  The daylight savings they started last year helps with the daylight for sure. Here is a link to sunset times in Playa del Carmen. http://www.timeanddate.com/sun/mexico/playa-del-carmen?month=1&year=2017

I would suggest getting married between 4-5pm. That gives you some time in between the ceremony and reception to take photos and to catch the light..unless you are doing all your photos beforehand.

Hope this helps!

Sunset in the Caribbean is usually around 6pm give or take a 1/2 hour or so.  I was married in June and my ceremony was at 4:30pm and by the time we finished taking pictures and were ready to start the reception around 6pm, it was dark.

Welcome to our forum community sarahjayne07 and Congrats on your Jan 2 wedding at Azul Sensatori next year!!! As you've already seen, there are lots of great people here to help you with info, suggestions advice and support, so well done on joining our group :)

As snswedding2016 said (GREAT photos by the way!!!) the sunset on Jan 2, 2017 is 6:20pm.

We advise our wedding couples to make their timeline for their newlywed photo shoot to be 1 to 1.5 hours before sunset (see our FAQ webpage here).

That would mean if your ceremony is approx a half an hour, it would need to start around 4:30. Those are just suggestions for how we've found a wedding day schedule unfolds smoothly.

With the golden light of sunset, we've captured some Amazing GOLD - as you can see in these magical wedding moments that matter taken from our MTM Blog posts:
