Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

The Azul no longer has sparklers!!  Not sure if anyone has already purchased sparklers on their contract or planned on having sparklers at their wedding. No one informed me of this and I found out when I was at the Azul for my wedding. They are no longer doing sparklers because it is a fire hazard.

@linaco80

Sigh....so sad to hear this. Hopefully it does little to affect your actual wedding. The idea behind this forum is for brides to help each other....not use information in such a manner that it might affect someone else in a negative manner.

I agree with @kmk2016, if you know who this other bride might be, please let a moderator know.

Whoever the other bride might be- I hope you realize what your actions might do and think before you act next time!

Hi Everyone! I am new to this forum and am so excited I found this! It is always nice to find other brides who can offer their advice so that we can all have the most beautiful day!

I am having my reception at Plaza Zavas and am wondering about a dance floor? I would assume you would not need to add one on because you would dance under the gazebo?

Yes there is no need. The floor is nice and flat under the gazebo and its a perfect location!

Welcome and congrats!!!

I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt that maybe a coordinator from Karisma read through these forums but if it was a another bride who called and referenced your wedding, I'm sorry @@linaco80 and I hope this doesn't become a constant issue. Good luck with the rest of your planning!

Thanks so much!

Is there any advice you can give me as a new bride confirmed for a wedding at Azul Sensatori! I have learned from this forum that buying your own decorations is the way to go so I have begun the search for that. Any recommended decoration for Plaza Gavas as a reception?

Also does the resort charge you a fee to have them use your own decor for their setup?

Thanks so much!

@@LaurenR see my attachment for Azul Sensatori, however I am NOT using their services.

@@Janjin I would block the minimum..10 rooms and add as you see people going..I started like that and I increased it.

@@IvanLuckiePhotography OMG!! I heard something similar :(

If you choose to only block the minimum, 10 rooms, and you give them your deposit for that .. when more guests respond that they are attending, as you increase, do you pay the $100 each time? How does that work?

Your deposits and block details are specific to your agreement and vary greatly depending on whether you are Canadian or American (or British), and by who your TA is. Your TA can explain exactly how your contract is structured.

As for a tip- if you can, the BDR is a great way to get a real feel for everything and is a great experience.... If not- read both this thread, and the official Sensatori thread from start to finish and you will be an expert! It will take a while, but soooo worth it!

@ShannonLeAnn- Welcome to the forum! The area under the gazebo at Zavas Plaza is mosaic stone and concrete. Great dance area!

Have you had a chance to read the Official thread yet? It has all the basics about the resort to help you get started. Here's the link: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/topic/72018-official-azul-sensatori-thread/

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
