Recommended Posts

Hi jade thanks soo much it's great to have a fellow UK bride on here :) so u can take the rose petals and they don't charge u to use them ? Lol. I was also thinking a silk bouquet... so are you making yours yourself ? Will it be ok whilst travelling ? It won't get squashed ? We want purple as a theme. . What about u ??

Also the shop u went to was it the one in Burton the wedding dress outlet ? I'm going there in July :) I really want a fishtail dress. .. Thanks for all the information :) btw we will be doing the lowest caribe photo package at 600 dollars xxx

Has anyone used freeze dried rose petals before? Just saw them here:

Apparentely they keep their color better, don't stain and don't wilt. For some reason I thought I read somewhere that Azul doesn't allow guests to toss slik flowers. Did anyone else read that? Maybe that was an old policy?

Hmm don't know! We plan on tossing confetti sprinkles (like the kind on top of cupcakes)... If we toss at all. It apparently photographs amazingly.

Oooh I love that idea! So pretty! You could stick your tongue out and catch them like snowflakes haha, delicious :P

We were thinking maybe glitter, but that might get messy and don't know if they'd let us do that. Or those mini beach balls, adorable!

Amy --- oh I have found out today Thomson give u an extra 5kg baggage for a case to send with wedding stuff in just label it fragile or take in with u. Also bagage allowance is 20kg and we get another extra 3kg I think it is on top of that :) ...

I don't no I hope they don't charge as that's not really fair I could easily get someone to do it for me !!!

Hope u can use silk flower petals now too !

I got mine from the burbage one in East Midlands .. I was after a low back fish tail too mine is a viva bride high neck fitted dress if u go on the website u can see a lot what they have in ... But I didn't like mine on the website but it was amazing they have a lovely garland dress and another low back fish tail with a high neck but I was just to short for it lol :)

We picked the sensatori because it's amazing for children :)

The gazebo on the sky deck is now white, not the old brown one (which I loved)... All the dimensions etc are found on the official azul sensatori thread.

As for set up fees for decor brought with you, that is something best negotiated on site and must be paid in cash. The most brides have been charged has been $250 USD but you can likely negotiate a lot less depending on what you need done. $250 usually is charged for full decor from lights/lanterns to napkins.

@@LaurenR my FI and I did the Karisma bride's dress rehearsal last November. I am allergic to shellfish and nuts. Let me assure you that all karisma brands take food allergies and special diets very seriously. Upon check in they asked us if either had an allergy. Each restaurant we visited mentioned my allergy to me BEFORE I ordered. I was very impressed and also as we went through the dress rehearsal wknd we visited other Karisma properties: Azul Beach and El Dorado Royal. Everyone knew about my allergy and during the tastings they pointed out the things I could and couldn't have. Again we were quite impressed with how well this information traveled. The chef can also make gluten free and vegan cakes!!! One of my sisters in law has celiac issues and I have two vegans attending the wedding. I am super confident that my party will be taken care of.

@@LaurenR  Hi! Did you guys enjoy the dress rehearsal? My FI and I are thinking about going in August. What exactly do you get to see and is there any final planning/scheduling that you can do while on site? We're just trying to get a sense of what to expect and how much we will actually get to see and do. We could also really use a little mini vacation before the big day so we were hoping to take advantage of the opportunity.

@@raqpena I went to the dress rehearsal. You should ask to see all of the hotels you are interested in. They do a great job hosting you. They put us in the honeymoon suite. It was amazing. Of course they are putting their best foot forward to sell you on booking but I will post a detailed account of our preview experience. I've got lots of pics!!! The service level is unmatched is really top notch
