Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

We did an iPod playlist with no DJ -- and no rental equipment! If you have an iPod Touch or iPhone, look into WeddingDJ ($1.99). This is what we used for all of our music. I labored for hours over the playlists - ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception but it really turned out perfectly. We bought a travel Bose for $300 and took it with us rather than spending $300 to rent their sound system. The resort will provide a sound system for music for your ceremony. They were able to plug our iPhone into the system and run the app for us. Then they took our dock to the cocktail hour space, hooked up the phone and started our next playlist. Same for moving from cocktail to reception venue. I had the remote in my pocket but only had to adjust volume once and pause for speeches. We had a small group (20) so the Bose without extra speakers was plenty loud enough for the reception. Just another option!
I I will check out WeddingDJ but I don't think I can spend the time to select all of the music.

Hi ladies! My wedding is almost 30 days away and I am getting sooo excited!! To all past brides has anyone had any issues with gettin sick from the food or have any guests complain about getting sick? I know it's gormet inclusive so I was hoping this is not the case. I have a few guests that swear they will get dissentary while in Mexico. I also had a co-worker who's husband is a dr and the go to all of the Karisma and eldorado resorts and reccomend going to the dr to get a provenative antibiotic to help fight any foreign bacteria. Let me know your expiernced and thoughts!! Thanks!
My husband and I have travelled to Mexico, a least twice a year for the last 6 years, and we have never had an issue with food related illness at the Karisma resorts. Often people that fall ill, it is too much alcohol, dehydrated , or using tap water. If you make sure to brush your teeth with bottled water (which is provided), drink enough water; you and your guests should be fine. They do put a lot of effort into their food safety. Also just so you know all the ice is safe.

Kathryn - I LOVE your paper banners. The only reason I wanted to have the paper lanterns was for extra light, but it doesn't seem like that's an issue. The banners are so festive and different! April - I have been to Mexico twice and have a ton of family and friends who have traveled there many times and did not have any issues. I have never heard of getting a shot or anything like that.. Obviously don't drink the tap water and you'll be fine!

Hi, and welcome to the forum. It is unfortune about the vendor fees, but with enough research I am sure you will find everything to make a perfect dream come true. Take a look at the official thread- http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/84306/official-azul-sensatori-thread/30#post_1907178 , you will hopefully find more details or links to help you plan.

In the meantime, if anyone has any questions regarding the El Dorado Seaside (sister resort), I am down here right now enjoying the sun!

Dang it murmel! I keep trying to resign myself to not using Azul Sensorati because of the outside vendor issue, but then I go and read about your real wedding and review of the resort.  *sigh*  I keep going back and looking at the Sky Deck too....

I'm sorry to keep asking so many questions, but one thing I see repeated a lot is that Azul Sensorati doesn't tend to give as many extras as other resorts do. Can anyone tell me exactly what those benefits are (e.g. free basic wedding, etc.)?
Deciding where to host your wedding and guests can be extremely difficult. A few good questions for you: do you have guests with children?, or adults only?, is a good beach important?, service?, food?, drink variety?, as well as overall cost. Are you travelling from Canada, USA, UK? What can you and your guests afford? Hopefully by answering these questions you can narrow down your choices. The free bonuses are easier to come by if you use a GI certified travel agent, since they are the direct contact for Karisma resorts and know what promotions are available. I can recommend Wright Travel- http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/80338/karisma-hotels-givc-and-gi-wedding-consultants-wright-travel-agency They can help you and your guests with all the planning and booking. Right now I know the free wedding package is not available to Canadian brides, but again things change constantly. If you have specific questions about the resort or any of the other Karisma properties feel free to ask? (El Dorado properties, adults only; Azul properties, family friendly)

Welcome home MRS! So happy all went well, look forward to seeing some photos. As well, if any brides are heading down soon, could someone measure the yoga palapa if they get a chance? Thanks.

Thanks! They really "made" our theme I think. We did purchase a pinata and our tables through the resort to embrace the fiesta theme.

Extra lighting was not an issue. I did bring the strands of christmas lights from home -- six strands total -- purchased for $5 during after xmas sales. We donated them to the resort after, but who knows where they ended up.

Im sure this has been discussed but as I am working on details of planning some questions have come up:)  Im starting to have anxiety about packing things..lol..I know im less than 6mos. away, but I am a planner.  For those of you that did welcome bags, how did you pack them.  did you wait till you got there to put the items in the bags??  also, many of you have said there is not an issue when travelling with so much stuff, but If i chose to divide up my stuff to some of my family members to travel with, will they all be stopped and asked why they have maracas, candles, etc.???  I know someone mentioned showing reciepts to the staff in the airport, but if I divide up the stuff will everyone need to show reciepts??  Thanks for the help:)  also, when is the meeting usually scheduled with the wedding coordinators at the resort?  We want to schedule some things and Im afraid they will mess up my meeting.
