Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I used Zazzle for our stamps and they turned out really great!  They were much higher quality than I was expecting.  I don't know if it's true for all their products, but our stamps did come with zazzle's website printed on them.  The sample I created and ordered didn't show it and while it wasn't a big deal, I would have preferred it weren't there.

I spent some time this weekend registering for gifts. Because we already have an established house, we opened up a Honeymoon Registry instead of a standard gift registry. Travelers Joy has a 7.5% fee assessed verses the 10% Destination Weddings uses. Check out Travelers Joy! http://www.travelersjoy.com. I think this is such a cute idea. Family and friends can put money towards fun items for your weddingmoon or honeymoon (if you are going somewhere after Azul Sensatori) instead of loading you up on useless breadmakers.

Now that the fun part of registering is over, I need to get back to wedding planning. Tisha, your bouquets are beautiful and have inspired me to continue my search online today for pictures of bridal bouquets. I'm leaning towards white orchids, peonies, etc. but I LOVE the tropical bouquets as well. Does anyone else have inspirational bouquet pictures to share??

Michele - If you go back in this thread or look at AmyBermuda's planning thread, she had beautiful tropical bouquets.

Hi Ladies, I've been MIA for a while and trying to catch up!

Sorry, very late on the reply to this one but thought I'd add my point of view (as I'm a Vancouver bride too).  We went through flightcentre destination weddings in North Van.

Our promotional group rate, which everyone got who booked last June was about $1480 pp (including airfare and taxes).  Last I heard people looking to book this week were quoted $1920 pp (including airfare and taxes).  The prices do go up and down and so, aside from having a locked in group rate, it's hard to know.

Also, a lot depends on the date.  We were originally looking at a week earlier in May and were quoted $1870pp for our group rate.  Once we picked a different week the price went down significantly.  If you're still open as to dates for the actual wedding, this might be an option to consider.

If you have any Vancouver specific (or any) questions feel free to PM me.

I'm from canada and decided to pay for a wedding planner who will do all the dirty work for me=) Not realizing how simple it is to just work with the planner at the resort i want (should have looked into it a bit :S) So i started off filling out an application with my wedding budget, how many ppl will be attending and how much i want my guests to pay etc...

So my wedding planner comes back with AS for my price range and a reasonable price for my guests. My fiance and i checked AS out and fell in love! Then my planner comes back after going to the supplier with alomst double the price we wanted to pay, personaly and for our guests=( I'm so bummed, but she said to wait till mid december to see if prices go down.

I had to vent lol Just curious if anyone was quoted $2300 pp for a week at AS? when i "book" thru their website it comes to $1505....weird.

Can you tell us what the resort charged for any set up fees please?  Thank you!

There's really no way to say what they'll charege because they charge based on the amount of stuff you have and what they have to set up.  I only had centerpieces, place cards and favors that I gave to the guests.  They only charged me $25.  I've heard some people have paid as much as $50 for set up.

Hey ladies...not to be a downer, but has anyone heard about the recent explosion in a Playa del Carmen resort?

I know it's not in exactly the same area but I'm traveling down there on Friday and although I would never dream of cancelling plans, it's still a freaky story... :(
