I would like to do mainly the larger ones, but I think those smaller ones are adorable!! And then I can use the hurricanes from Z Gallerie on the cocktail tables...I am also planning on doing a lounge type set up, so those short candles/floating flowers could go on those tables...

I love candles floating in water too. The website Dollar Tree, Inc.: Buy Bulk Floral Supplies, Toys, Party, Cleaning has different sized vases and they're all $1 each!

Thats so true. I have been in customer service orientated careers my whole life from waitressing as a teenager to now as a broker. I have to get back to people within HOURS and have to be accurate. And nice. I think we all have the itch where we dont want to be bride-zillas but even if I was planning a family reunion I think my standards would still be at the same level.

Most flowers work, ones on a stem best I assume. I'm putting my fake ones in the vases and the WC said they would cut them to the vase size for me. Also, I was told the floating candles would be no problem as long as the flame was a below the top of the vase. I'm having my reception on Zocollo terrace as well so it's not going to be windy there.

Girls - thank you all for your advice. I wanted to make sure I wasn't being rude - but come on - you are right AmyF - this guy would not have been invited to the wedding without being the BM's boyfriend. It just puts extra stress on me which is not cool. Its hard not to look rude saying no he cant come - but it was super rude to ask!
AmyB - It's your wedding girl, don't feel bad for people not being invited to stuff, just explain it to her and that should be that.

P.S - I love your centerpieces! SOOOO pretty!

Lindz - forgot to mention that I love the dresses too! I wouldn't worry about sweating, they are thin so they shouldn't be hot. My only concern was that they look really short. That just may be the 6ft model but I'd check the length and make sure it's suitable for your tastes.

This is a good idea and I almost went this route. Doing the math though at 3 vases a table and 7 tables, I can't bring in over 20 vases to Mexico in my luggage, the mere thought of attempting that gives me a headache shots.gif

I opted to just rent glasses through Lomas and suck it up, I am bringing my own real touch flowers though which saved me $300 a table

We are looking into the Azul resorts for our wedding in 2011, and it seems from the pictures and videos that we've seen that the beach at Azul Sensatori doesn't look that nice. It doesn't appear to have the clear blue Caribbean color that most other places have. Is it just the pictures/videos we are seeing, or is this really the case??
