I like the sash as well. How many BMs do you have? I think if they were all wearing the same dramatic necklace, they may look too "matchy-matchy". That's just my opinion though. If the girls are all wearing the same dress, I like the idea of them putting a little bit of their own style into it by choosing their own shoes and jewelry.

I say go with both. From a photographers view it will give some detail to the individual around the neck. If you shoot a head shot of a girl with a strapless dress it has a tendency to come across like she is naked.
