Here is a picture of shelly's I was trying to save

here is my first shot

After a class I took yesterday I'm trying it again right now. Now I understand curves & levels so much more. I'm tweaking it right now.

I'd love to see what a pro suggests.

here is my 2nd shot without maintaining the sky. I was just trying to see if I could improve them.

It looks pretty artificial though. Plus it took a long time to do. There must be an easier way.

I'll also send it to anyone else that wants a go at it, I'm hoping to get a 4x6 out of it but again I know I'm not working with much to start with.

OK how is this now?

I adjusted the curves & took some noise out of her shirt.

It was so much faster than what I did before.

I'd love any feedback or tips.

***PLEASE READ***

Just to set a rule in place on this thread. PLEASE do not post a professional picture taken from someone else that you want edited. If it's your photo and you are looking for advise that's one thing, but no one should be posting a picture that another photographer took. (IE a picture from your wedding, but you didn't like your photographer's edit)

I like the black and white version too! I think I can do that in iphoto. That definitely makes the beach chairs less noticeable.

And don't worry, that wasn't one of my pro pics so edit away!

oohhh, i have one too!! I want those pesky beach chairs and jogger gone also. Can you help?

here is the picture tammy emailed me. It is so low resolution I'm not sure what to do with it. It is 52 dpi at 2x4 inches. I made it 200 dpi at 4x6 so it can be printed, but that is way more resampling than should be done.

Should the background be whited out more?

the chairs would need to be cloned out if you want them removed. it would take time & patience. Maybe making it black & white would make the background less noticable.
