Sacred Heart Diet Anyone?

Recommended Posts

I did alot of cooked carrots and cabbage!!!

I have to admit Joe and I "quit" last night! Joe lost 9 lbs, i lost 5lbs. We so badly NEEDED some meat and bread. We ate healthy, but I have to admit we ate!! But still managed to lose weight this morning. We changed up our workout schedule and are going back to normal life. We LOVE our bread, we don't eat much sweets cause we always have a dessert each night. So we caved a couple days early but i have to say it was successful!

Ha ha ha Yael- you seriously read my mind sometimes.

Day 2 is a little harder for me too because of breakfast time. I do just get some soup down but it is a little strange. Then I snack all day long on raw veggies.

I am only doing Mon-Fri and taking the weekend off.

Sacred Heart Diet

sorry to be a bummer but most weight lost with this will be water and easily gained back.. plus the diet is not endorsed by any hospital or association.. it's an urban legend so to speak. I'm not saying that you won't lose weight (you definitely will but it will be mostly water) but probably not something sustainable... I remember doing this diet in the 80's (it was called TJ Miracle soup) and the soup had cabbage in it.. boy were those side effects terrible!!

good luck ladies!

Finzup - thanks for the link :) Ya i know its a "fad/urban myth" but i dont think any of us are doing it for permanent weight loss

For me personally i just need a clean start - after the wedding and honeymoon the past two weeks i just feel gross and fat and wanted to give my body a fresh start. And Im going to a friend's wedding this weekend and want to shed a few lbs before i gorge myself on naan and yummy indian food :)

Finzup-Yes I did see that information before I started. However I cannot deny the actual positive outcomes from the diet. My energy is way up, I truly feel better. Also, I have a hard time believing it is all water weight when I drink tons of water thruought and unlike the cabbage soup diet this does not produce that type of bowel movement.
