1. We were planning on renting out the disco since it included drinks for 50 people, DJ and room for a set price but was informed of it being remodeled a month before we were set to leave. This was my moment of panic/bridezilla moment but it worked out in our favor. We ended up having a meeting room for the reception and we loved it. She must have misunderstood before I know it's $100 per hour for a dj.

2. We ended up using Ivan Luckie and we are still waiting for our pics. I have seen people being very happy with the resort photography as well. We wanted more than 3 hours and thought their packages were really pricey for what you get.

3. I actually did not need my dress steamed at all. Where I got my dress she did it all before putting it in a dress bag and said if I needed something to hang it up while running the shower. I brought a travel steamer as well which the guests used more than anything. I would think it would depend on what kind of material your dress is. I just didn't trust leaving my dress with just anyone so I tried to cover the bases myself.

Iberostar Quetzal and Tucan brides! You have probably already heard that there was a fire at the resort on the weekend and it will now be closed until mid-December while they rebuild. Just wanted to give a heads up if not as I haven't seen it through traditional news sources. Our wedding is at the end of January so I'm hoping their estimated reopening date is accurate!!!

I have seen the resort is back up and running so that's one less thing for you to worry about! Very exciting it is getting so close!

Anyone have a very small wedding with Queztal? Was trying to see if the packages they offer are worth it for our dinner party. We'll also be getting married in the church outside of the resort so we don't need the ceremony. Any comments about the staff and service? Hair salon?

Hi everyone! Not sure if anyone is still active on this board but if so I was wondering what you ladies did/plan to do for shoes! I'm having the ceremony, photos, and cocktail hour on the beach and then the reception indoors. I'm only 4'11 so would love a little heel but pretty sure even a wedge would make me fall in the sand. Can anyone share photos of the shoes, sandals, barefoot sandals, etc that you chose to do? Thank you!!

@@lcole1 I'm planning on wearing a t-strap heel and taking a pair of wedges with me. Going to try to wear them as long as I can. Our ceremony is in a church but we are having dinner on the beach so I'm not sure if there will be some kind of a walk way or just sand.

Anyone use the spa for hair? If so how did it go? Recommendations for stylist?
