I bet you will look great int he strapless but the sleeves are super cute too! Just think of what you will feel confortable with.. what about a little cap sleeve or llke the off the sholder sleeve. If you are getting married when it is hot you may not want a shall. I promise you will look great! I hate wear tanks and stuff but i am forcing myself to do it now so that in 20 days i will feel a little better.. and just remember if anyone looks good on the wedding day it is the BRIDE!!!rockon.gif
I love it. I feel that way about a few of the girls here too...like we're the same freakin person! cheesy.gif

I'm afraid that if I go with a cap sleeve, or even a little off the shoulder one...it will only draw attention to the problem area! Not good! So..if I go with a sleeve...it will probably be a 3/4 length one...but who knows...maybe I'll just be SO successful with weights...I won't need sleeves...mm hmm!

and...20 DAYS!!! Hooray! I'm so excited for you! elefant.gif

Congrats!

Ok first of all you are fabulous Shannon! You cannot let a little thing like arm jiggle get you down! We here at BDW want to see all our friends glowing!

Here is the truth. There are some people that are very thin and pretty much all dresses look amazing on them. And there are some people who have heavier set body types who need to find dresses that will flatter them a little better. But never, ever have I seen a bride on here who I didn't think looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL! What makes someone pretty is their glow and the happiness that they radiate on their wedding day.

The fact that you lost 60 pounds is amazing and you should feel so proud of that and you should let that boost your self-esteem instead of letting it get you down. The people who will be in attendance at your wedding will see you and will be thinking how amazing you look after having lost 60 pounds! Just think of that and it should make you feel so excited!

I absolutely love the dress you posted and I think you should go try it on and see if you like it. I was dreading buying a dress as well. I ended up buying an empire waist gown b/c it hid my worst problem area which is my gut. The important thing is that you feel comfortable in your dress. And don't forget you still have time to shape up those arms and have them look the best that they can look.

I'm pretty sure I posted in the "problem areas" thread some tips for you so hopefully they will help.

You did, you did!! So I went out a bought a five pound pilates weight ball to start. I figured, I was already doing pilates, just low impact, so I have tried to implement the weight as well, and surprisingly...I'm really enjoying it. My FI also picked me up a small weight set (the colored little 3, 5 and 10 pound weights)...and we're going to start reps with those this weekend. He has dumbells and such too, so we'll do it together, though he is a thin guy...now. (Just so you know...he lost over 70 pounds also - before I met him 5 years ago!).

It's gonna be good...I just have to focus on my goal! And...stop snacking late at night...I've been working a lot of OT, so...those snacks are just so darn convenient! cheesy.gif I'm working on it...baby steps!

Thank you again. You're a doll!

smile159.gif CONGRATULATIONS on losing 60lbs. That is an amazing accomplishment. You should be very proud of yourself because I know it took a lot of hard work and dedication. I think either with or without the sleeves is beautiful and I know you will look awesome on your wedding day!

I want to say Congrats 1st and for most, I think that it's great that you have found your soulmate and you have to remember that he too loves the way you are and I think that once you go shopping :) that you should expereince trying on all different styles of dresses and you'll know just like every other bride when you've found the one!!!!! It doesn't matter what size a person may be we all have flaws that we have to overcome when it comes to finding that perfect dress. The dress that you originally selected is breathe taking and im sure it will look perfect on you...I hope that you enjoy shopping for the perfect dress, make sure to post pics.....

First of CONGRATS on losing 60lbs. That is so amazing! I agree with what everyone else said. A glowing bride is a glowing bride, and that is what people are going to notice.

Everyone finds dresses that look like crap on. You just need to try on a bunch and find which aspects of certain dresses you like, so you can narrow it down to find the dress that fits you best. Also, once you get into these dresses I think you'll be shocked to see yourself as a bride... something about the wedding dress makes it all a little more real, and your arms will be a distant memory.

Good luck shopping! Keep us updated!

Thank you all for your support...you've really been amazing!

I started a little fitness routine this weekend. I'm an asthmatic but recently have been dreaming of overcoming some fears (literally - I've been having all these positive change dreams!), and taking up jogging! Well...I did it! I jogged with the FI in two minute increments for about 40 minutes (up the mountain) this Saturday...and holy crap batman...I'm sore and the inhaler got some attention, but proud! I was very proud of myself!

I also began lifting weights. I am such a weakling...but I think over time...I will cut some inches off of my arms...and that is motivation man!

10 months and it will all be worth it! cheesy.gif

As soon as I try on the dress the first time...I'll post pics (if possible) and...then we can all watch my progress! Oh you lucky folks you!! cheesy.gif
