Thankfully Charlie and I have his and her sinks because I could see how that might caused some issues but I must say that my hubby is very very clean!
we shared a twin again one christmas. I woke up to him singing about how great a twin sized bed is.

I totally do this to my hubby! It's like if he's not there as a barrier, I am full on diagonal. I've got the cat & dog pushing from one side, so unless he's on the other, it's all over!

Absolutely agreed Jamy - that sucked. Marriage is bliss when you are on vacation & don't have to do shit like go to work, do the laundry, etc. Biggest decision of the day - where to eat lunch? should we take a nap?

On the real though, marriage has been a HUGE adjustment for me. I am an only child and an extremely independent & self sufficient woman. So to go from that, to being married to a man w/ 2 kids was a crazy adjustment in the patience & sharing departmnet. I try to remind myself that I don't have to change just because I'm married, since in reality it was those qualities about me my hubby loved to begin with. Anyhoo...yes, the pee on the toilet, the beard shavings, the body functions being celebrated on the hour...yuck!

We have been living together for the last nine months. I am happy we did this so we can get the adjustment period out of the way.

The biggest adjustment is getting our spending habits in sync. I tend to shop a lot and he bitches about it. BUT I haven't been shopping for clothes and stuff, it mostly household items.

We have a cleaning lady so that makes our lives a lot easier. However, I was supposed to cut her to once a month once we got the new car. I haven't done that yet, I am trying to hold out as long as I can.

He loves to cook and it makes me feel like I am not taking care of him. I know it sounds lame, but I feel like I should be making him dinner (at least I want to) and he perfers to do it. Also, he is on South Beach and I am on WW, so it makes it hard to eat the same food.

Ahhh, yes. I remember that well. Having 4 restaurants within walking distance, already paid for, and trying to arrange a nap schedule that maximizes your party time...it's hard to live like a rock star...haha Plus we went from Mexico to Jamaica, by the time we got back to L.A. real life was too much to bear!

That is a big adjustment for sure! And don't get me started on beard shavings...maybe I should have married a woman...although we women have our own issues too...so I'm told :P

Well, it's only been 3 weeks or so, but we lived together for 1.5 years before we married, so the only thing I foresee changing is that we are combining our money more now. Haven't encountered any problems yet, but I am sure we will. He is a saver. Like if he wants to buy a car, he saves and saves until he can buy it flat out. I am a spender, like if I have an extra $300 unbudgeted in my account that month, I will quickly find something that I "need".

Our bed is a major issue though. He has a full sized tempurpedic. I HATE it. It feels like you are sleeping in wet cement. My hips and shoulders have ached since I moved in with him. It's also frigging small. He's a clingy sleeper and I am not, so it's hard for us. I liked to have the OPTION to snuggle, not forced to cuz the bed isn't big enough. We cannot wait til we buy a house and can get a HUGE bed!

Well, we aren't quite there yet, but the biggest adjustment in terms of living together was his socks and underware. We dated for 7 years before we moved in (have been living together for a year and a half) so I didn't think there would be too many surprises, but this was one of them. His socks and underware are removed and left wherever they came off. Sometime next to the bed, sometimes next to the hamper, sometimes in the bathroom, sometimes in the living room, sometimes in the kitchen!

I just accept it, and scoop them up and move on...there is really no point fighting about it...

The only problem is, since we got our puppy, all the socks and underware now have tiny holes in them from the puppy chewing on the stinkyness, so he needs all new under clothes. Good news is, the puppy is training my FI to put this socks in the hamper! YEA!!!!cheer2.gif

Doesn't that drive you crazy? Matt leaves his boxers everywhere. Like seriously, what reason do you have to be taking your boxers off in the hallway if it isn't cuz we are being naughty together? I never understood that one.
