I'm new here too!

I am also planning for next year, May. I am trying to find a resort at Riveira Maya as well and am actually going there to check a few of them out. I have a few friends that did it there, so these resorts are the first ones I am checking: Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda and Barcelo. I also have been in touch with The Royal and Azul Sansatori (not open yet). The Royal looks really nice and someone I know went there for vacation.

I also reached out to Iberostar, which is a big chain I know from Brazil.

Congrats on your engagement!!

Just wanted to say that I was at Bahia Principe in 2006 and loved it. That's where my fiance asked me to be his girlfriend (awe) so we thought it was only fitting to get married there. The service, food, pools, everything was great.

I know there are some bad reviews out there but try not to let them scare you. Keep in mind more people who have bad service post comments to the web then those who have great service.

We loved it and can't wait to go back. Plus the coordinator I've been working with is fabulous!
