Ann, any word on when little Gwen will be released? I know you were due on or around July 16th... so I was thinking she'd probably be let out around 4th of July

Trisha, I am so floored by your generous offer - you and your family are amazing to offer to go so far out of your way (literally and figuratively!) to help us. I am truly without any words to explain how greatful we are!

I think, especially given the new timeline, that we are leaning towards taking the train home. But all of your ideas, offers to help, and positive thoughts mean so much to Paul and I - you have no idea how much easier this whole ordeal has been because of you all. I know it's not over yet, but I do feel like I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now.

UGH! New plan ...

 

So we were supposed to leave this morning, but Atrak called yesterday to say that trains weren't running past Denver due to floods. So we could take a bus from Denver to Omaha, but then there wasn't anything past that. No thanks! So we re-booked for tomorrow morning, same route, to Chicago.

 

Well, trains still aren't running past Denver. And we checked another route, from here up to Seattle with an overnight stay in Seattle, then a train to Minneapolis. There were no other options for at least the next few days.

 

So we're staying on our train tomorrow, and getting off in Denver and staying the night. Then we're driving the rest of the way. We'll probably stay one more night somewhere, and then hopefully arrive in Minneapolis Monday afternoon.

 

I JUST WANT TO BE HOME!!
