article on cnn.com- too broke to be a MOH

Recommended Posts

I think I've been pretty good...the BM dresses are $130 and then a 15% discount. I told my sister (MOH) NOT to do a brial party gift to me...none of my friends had that and I don't want to ask them to do it for me. As for bachelorette party, I'm having a say and we're trying to keep it low key and inexpesive...maybe a wine tour or weekend in the pocono's. I will have a shower that my mom and sister are giving me only becaus i'm from a HUGE Italian family and the idea of not having one is unheard of.

The woman at the bridal shop was actually surprised about how laid back I am...my friend asked about hair...I said "wear it however you're comfortable" then they asked about shoes...I was like "white or silver sandles, other than that, I don't care" LOL

Thanks for posting this story Morgan! I'm with you Dez... We said no wedding gifts (and meant it!), no bridal shower and my BM dresses are super cute from Anthropologie and cost $138. Shoes-- keep it in the silver family, hair-- do what you want. We may do a low-key co-ed bachelor/ette party but won't let anyone pick up the tab for it. Its about our family and friends sharing our special day together, we just want them there!
