How Far Away Is Walmart (Cancun/Hotel Zone)

I'm wondering how far away walmart/costco are from the hotel zone. How long is the taxi ride and how much? Can I take the bus? Please let me know if you have been there recently. My schedule is pretty tight. We arrive in Cancun at 9 am and then 7 of our guests will be there at 1.....AAAAAARRRGG!

 

I have been to Cancun 6 times and never knew that they had a freakin wal-mart!!! I guess I never needed anything from there before now!!! Awesome for extra oot stuff and stuff for table decor, and extra baby pool toys!!!!!Then when I'm done Ill just give the toys to other kids:)

I am not sure where the Grand Oasis is, but we stayed the the Gran Caribe Real and it was about a 30-40min bus ride to Walmart. Its right near this large outdoor flea market if you know where that is. Its really easy to get to by bus and the Walmart is really nice

My resort was 20 minutes from Playa del Carmen and we knew there was a Walmart there. We just hoped in a cab and told them we wanted to go to the Walmart. Took us right to the door, I think it was $12 and it was easy getting another cab on the way out. Good luck!!!

What are you looking for specifically for the OOT bags?

 

I know I was so busy when I got there, I didn't have time to run out for anything. Between putting stuff together, greeting people and getting all my wedding stuff in place, time flew by and we were there 3 days before our wedding.

 

I bought inflatable pool toys for the kids at the dollar stuff and some other little goodies at Jo-Ann's.

Walmart is about 1 hour by bus from the Grand Oasis or 30 minutes or so by taxi.

Honestly, if you arrive in Cancun at 9, it would be a small miracle to get all that done and back to your hotel by 1.
