Parents making me sad...

Hey, you could have it the other way. I got in a fight with my parents because they want to stay longer than everyone else...ha Greg and I want 3 or 4 days to ourselves as a kind of honeymoon so-to-speak. Just time to ourselves to relax and not worry about meeting others for dinner etc. Mom said flights were cheaper to stay longer..I said sorry Charlie. So, Mom and Dad are mad at me. They could have gotten their flights earlier and saved so not my problem they waited. So, theirs was truly the money thing though..ha

I've got in-laws that are the same except FMIL she acts like she is on acid and bipolar all in one and the new hubby is just a cranky twat! lol I'd kill not to have them there let alone for 2 weeks lol

Think yourself lucky if they are only there a couple of days less grief and at least they are seeing you married lol

Why couldn't you just switch hotels or they switch hotels? Or even if the resort is big enough, just ignore each other? It's really easy to go incognito and have some time alone.

Yeah I agree, thats what we are doing because everyone that is coming with us is with us for 2 weeks!! and I've got no plans to spend all that time with them lol

Yeah, I just thought I didn't want to be hiding behind trees..lol We did originally plan to switch to another hotel and it was making a big hassle with our airport transfers and it made our flight go way up because it was like they had to book 2 separate trips or something. Anyways we just decided to stay at the same resort because we knew everyone was leaving by Sunday (we are staying until Wed) After the fact I wish we would have just booked the separate hotels and paid the extra..oh well. I just knew if they were there we wouldn't want to ignore them. They switched it up and are coming Fri-Fri so they leave one day earlier than the original plan. Ok, sorry for hijacking :)hijacked.gif

aww Kelly that really sucks. Just remember your wedding is about YOU and FI. While it's nice to have family involved, what's most important is you two and the new family you are starting together. Hugs!

Kelly I am so sorry, that really stinks, my DH's parents are a little like this, but they promise the moon and never follow through. We are about to have their first grandchild and they went to Hawaii even though they said they they hate traveling (their reason for never coming to visit us).

I feel your frustration, but at least they will be there for the big day and like someone else said, I bet they will have fun once they get there.
