I don't even know what to say, Rachel. This is infuriating. Definitely keep us posted on what's going on. I hope she gets some solid answers soon, I feel so sad for her. She must be so scared, I am so sorry sad.gif

Hey Rach, I'm just catching up on what's happened since the first night and I am fuming with anger. I just cannot believe how inadequate the service you have received has been. Its just ridiculous.

I seriously would just find the closest neurologist office and be there first thing when they open Monday morning.

I'm praying she has a speedy recovery and that she finds peace.

She saw a neurologist last Thursday. She was suppose to have an EEG done BEFORE seeing him, and he said the hospital should have either done it or immediately referred her to another place that could. Anyways-the appointment was kinda pointless without the test readings. He did say he's not convinced it's psuedoseizures. He said next time to skip Salem and go to Portland because they have better technology and would know how to handle it better. He seemed a little shocked she was released THREE times.

As for how she is now- highly medicated and a little weird. Her medication has completely altered her personality so it's a little much to deal with.

For example- she is NOT a person that up keeps her yard. I mean- at all. The grass is cut but they live out in the middle of nowhere with a ton of horses so they don't really weed or anything. She has been FREAKING out about the yard. So my whole family went over one weekend and basically gave her yard a makeover to help calm her down. She was out at 7AM weeding- it's a little fanatic.

They are Mel. It's really weird. She is normally such a chill person- completely easy going. She is majorly suffering from some anxiety issues but maybe it's not the meds. Maybe the meds aren't blocking it all. I dunno- we just thought it was maybe a side affect or something. Plus she won't listen to anybody so that's just super frustrating. She has an appointment with the neurologist again this Thurs so hopefully we will know more now that she has had her testing.

What a scary situation t be in, I'm so sorry Rachel I imagine it's tough seeing someone you care about so much in a different state. hug2.gif

That whole keeping up with the yard sounds kind of OCD and that's totally stressful. I have OCD tendencies and I stress BIG TIME about them - that's why i mentioned it. I'll keep your aunt in my thoughts. I hope the Dr/neurologist has some reasoning behind this side affect.

I hope that the neurologist will be able to give your aunt some answers finally.

With the meds, depending on what they are, they could be calming her yet giving her side effects that are throwing her off. Sometimes meds have to be alered a few times before finding the right ones and the right doses for each person. Considering they haven't figured out what is actually going on yet, it will be difficult to sor the meds out appropriately.
