OMG! I Just Opened a Thread.....

This reminds me of one time when Jay and I were shopping and this gross, chola, thug lady hit Jay on the hip on purpose with her grocery cart. He was kinda shocked so he looked at her like she was nuts. I asked him why she did that and he said he didn't know and that apparently he was in her way.

I guess she did't like us talking about her and called him a son of a b!tch. We started laughing and I guess she didn't like that. I guess she thought we were gonna get pissed because she called him that.

We started walking away from her still laughing and she was stil cussing at us. Next thing I know she called me a "cracka white cracka B1tch!" We thought this was HILARIOUS and started laughing even harder.

For months I was known by everyone as "cracka white cracka b1tch!" Still makes me laugh!

I should have had her arrested! ha!

I don't think it's bashing. Like in the counties thread, it's just a joke about how texas is like it's own country. There is even the slogan of "Texas, it's like a whole other country" used in some tourism ads. Once I moved out of texas I started seeing how different it is. For example, in other states they don't have their state flag flying everywhere, pasta in the shape of their state, state shaped decorations, etc. I tried to explain to someone that it's just because Texas is such a pretty shape & the whole table started laughing. I guess it is weird to think of a state shape as pretty, but it is. So this started a whole silly thing of me putting all this texas stuff on my desk. The fact that you can buy Texas kleenex boxes at HEB is pretty funny.

Anyway, I love Texas & I miss living there. I have run in to some texas bashing though that is annoying. As soon as some people hear I'm from Texas they already have this stereotype in their head. Its hard to believe that people could think that everyone in a huge state fits into one mold, but that kind of ignorance is everywhere. I figure they are just jelous that their state shape isn't as pretty :)

Don't Mess with Texas!

yeah, more state pride than any other state. I think it's great too. I'm also an Aggie so that's a ton of pride.

Lizz, it's what happens when you go to the 'big house!' LOL. Dbld78s description was lovely, though she missed out on a step or two... wink.gif To put it "nicely" (if one can) something is given and then retrieved in the process. Ugh!

And yes, I've arrested folk for Disorderly... both drunk and sober. With a lot of the sober ones garnering an Obstructing Official business charge at the same time...

I friend of mine worked in a bar for a bit before going to school, and there was this nasty woman that would wear a bathing suit and stretchy pants to the bar! Anyway, my friends name is Mike, and she used to go up to him all the time and ask him "Have you seen Mike Hunt?" It was so nasty.

OK so that wasnt very professional of me but it just came out. I could not believe that she just said that. I had to step out of the room and I was laughing so hard I was crying. This was a frail old lady and she yelled that out like it was nothing. I couldnt write that on her paperwork so I called the radiologist and let him know why we were scanning that patient....she gave us all quite the laugh but she was dead serious. smile120.gif

It is amazing some of the things that people say, even the elderly. Being a nurse, we see and hear a lot of hilarious things. This is priceless though.
