There isn't a salon at the hotel, but they arrange for someone to come to your room. I paid $75 for an updo. I took pictures of what I wanted & was really happy with what she did.

My dad is in a wheelchair & can walk a little bit with a walker or on his own on a good day. My mom walked me down the aisle because i thought it would be too hard for my dad to do it. My brother helped my dad out to the ceremony site. I'll post my video so you can get an idea of what it would be like.

Definitly do an outside photographer. The hotel photography was not impressive at all.

the mexican & itallian restaurants and the creperie are in an upstairs area. There is a ramp, but it is pretty steep. I was worried about my dad rolling down it but he said it was fun. I was so nervous about my dad having a good time in a wheelchair & he loved it. We got him a handicap room and it had a view of the swimming pool.

I'm not sure if it would be hard to get to the pure chill out bar. I can't remember if there was a sidewalk leading to it of if it was steps. That might be hard to get to in a wheelchair. I know I took a picture of it though. I'll post some links...

The walk for your grandfather might be too long especially in sand. They should be able to put something down so he can use his chair right up to the site and then walk you thru the guests! That would be nice.
This resort is very nice... and small so if you do have to run back to your room for stuff, itâ€s very close. Lots of great photo spots!
I would also suggest getting the Pure Chill Out bar for your reception. They decorate it very nice and it looks fantastic at night.
Let us know if you have any more questions.

We got married at the Catalonia about a month ago.. there is a salon there and I got my hair done there.. I really loved it! It cost $50 US for my hair style and my sister got an updo for the same amount.

For the ceremony, I would say it would be difficult for anyone in a wheelchair to walk in as it is all sand.

If your having the reception in the "pure chill out bar" there is a sidewalk and it's sturdy ground within the bar so no problems there..

check out my hair and pics done by Lincoln and Lori from "Moments that matter".. they're amazing!!!! They are offering their services to that area of Mexico and EVERYONE in our party pf 40 all agreed they were incredible!

Yep, there's a beautiful salon/spa/gym now... I think it opened in October. Our photographer took some really cool pictures in there (by the waterfall and entrance, and in the lounge chairs with all the slots above our heads) blog.jamescarsonphotography.com
