Anyone renting their dress?

Anyone out there renting their dress? Someone suggested that to me, saying they had a friend who married in a beautiful rented dress. But I haven't found much info online.

I have never heard of renting a dress...interesting. Kind of like bag, borrow or steal for wedding dresses?

With the package I chose in St Thomas a dress come with. So I guess i am renting as well. I did purchase one as well.

What happens if the dress gets ruined (food/drink/sand/oceant)? I wouldn't trust myself in a white rented gown.......

I have seen places that rent formal gowns, like prom dresses and pageant gowns so I guess you can rent a wedding dress to! I was thinking of selling my dress, maybe I'll rent it instead.
