Hey Jaime - Can you do me a huge favor? We leave next Wednesday for Fredricksburg. This is the scenic route that your Aunt has on her website. I'm wondering if these will definitely get us there if we follow them, or if she has any updates to add. Do you think you can ask her....pretty please...wish sugar on top!!

From the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, take Hwy 67 South to GLEN ROSE, TX.

As you enter Glen Rose, you will miss our favorite bar-be-que place if you're not looking for it, Ranch House BBQ - a small log cabin type building. We plan our trips to arrive there around lunchtime. Their BBQ Brisket is very good, but be sure to ask for their special Potato Salad. It’s a combination of potatoes, cumin, cilantro, onion & jalapeno!

Continue South on Hwy 67 through Glen Rose, then take Hwy 220 to HICO, TX (not Stephenville, Tx)

You may want to drive through Hico's town square - it has some interesting architecture and will take 2 or 3 minutes, even going slow.

Take Hwy 281 to Hamilton. Hwy 2005 to Goldthwaite, then Hwy 16 to FREDRICKSBURG, TX.

I hope it's just as nice in real life. I will definitely let you know how we like it! I'm just so excited to get away from everything for 5 whole days before the baby. It's going to be great!
