How Late Do Receptions Go?

My reception site closes at 10 p.m. I guess that is when we will be done. It will be for sure raining so I guess the earlier the better. I am not having it private. It will also be open to the public.

We are doing our reception on the beach terrace, we are allowed to have the dj until 10:30pm. This works for us, it gives us time to dance and have fun with our children, and then it's off to bed for them and to the disco for us to party till probably 4 in the morning. There is nothing we like more than dancing, we can't wait it will be a blast.

lol I'm honestly OK with the 11pm cut off!! Aaron and I aren't much of partiers, and it's going to be a pretty long and tiring day. We might chill by the pool or whatever for a little while after but I couldn't see it lasting much longer than that!! I must be the only 21 year old that doesn't stay up past midnight on a Saturday!! lol.. I'm ok with that... but I do feel a bit like a loser!!!

I had the same issues. I just couldn't udnerstand any night ending that early. Especially a wedding. Weddings are supposed to go on all night.
