I'm so sorry for your losses...

This is the 3rd time that I know of for her. Once in undergrad about 10 years ago, once about 2 years ago. But there might be more times in between that I haven't known about.
Having kids has been really difficult for her. She has left several times, just driving away and calling and saying she isn't coming back, etc.

I know that there's not much I can do. I hope that her husband and family and friends there where she lives are helping out a lot and I'll keep trying to be supportive as much as I can from out here.

I am so sorry for you and your friend. Just being supportive to her and her family is a great help. Just being by her side while she gets the help she needs is the best thing you can do.
