we only had 7 guests, although the hotel wanted to do 2 rows of chairs (i.e. 2 on each side, 2 rows, so 8 chairs just to make it even) I said I wanted everyone in one row so they could see everything perfectly. It did mean there was no aisle at all formed by the chairs, but you can use something much nicer for the aisle, I got some flower arrangements with palm leaves (the resort did them for free actually!!!) but I've also seen people use starfish or large shells.
