Where are you going for your honeymoon? Staying in Jamaica or flying off? We're staying at Moon Dance Cliffs in Negril. Moon Dance Resorts - Negril, Jamaica

I'm glad to hear that someone else is getting married there soon to!!! KEEP IN TOUCH!
There was ALOT of info on the site. I had to read some of it more than once. I kind of over did it and invited 110 guests, but expect only about 30-40. Did you pick the all inclusive plan? We decided to go with it, but it is very expensive. I am kinda regretting it, but oh well we will see how it works out. Also did you do a room block or are your guests booking as they please?

Well for the honeymoon, we are 90% sure we would like to do a 12 day Mediteranean cruise-Royal Caribbean. We are going on our honeymoon August after the wedding. We have not booked it yet, since we have plenty of time. I heard Moon Dance is nice you will have a great time! Negril has great beaches.

Yes we went with the All Inclusive plan. I know it's expensive but without it every drink and meal would need to be paid for - that would be more $$$. We wanted to block out all the room upfront but they wanted an arm and a leg deposit. So we have a Travel Agent who all the guests are booking through.

And yes we invited a total of 125 people - so your not crazy!!! Just better not to leave anyone out.

The things that I am concerned about at this point is...the entertainment. B/C at night time there is nothing to do at the resort. Let alone during the day there is no music played by the pool or beachhuh.gif Crazy I know.

We are thinking of doing a catarman cruise to Rick's Cafe in Negril for the guests on one day and then possibly a bus ride to Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville.

I'm still new to this forum.....so if you want to Private message me...that would be good!!!

YEAH! I am so exicted I found this site and this page in particular. I am getting married at Coyaba on November 8th, 2008.... less than 2 months to go! I will definitely send pics etc once I get back. Joanne has been such a pleasure to work with, and if you are considering this place, without seeing it in person, just dealing with the staff, I HIGHLY recommend it. Joanne emails me back within the day on any questions, etc, which is the exact opposite of Jamaican timeliness.

I'm using sungold for my photography. My friend used them last year for her wedding in Jamaica and I loved her pictures and their pictures on the web. They are a husband/wife duo.... he's Jamaican, she's american, and the do great work. More expensive than the coyaba packages, but worth it in my opinion.

SO so excited that I found you girls...

Really Sungold? I haven't heard of them. I'll have to check them out. I was only given the 3 photography choices from the Coyaba Bridal Site.

What are you girls doing in regards to music for the wedding night? I was thinking about doing the Reggae Band and possibly something else.

I heard about Sungold from some of the brides on the forum. Also I saw some pics they took of wedding at Coyaba and really liked how the photos came out. Unfortuntely they are not on the recommended vendor list, so I will be paying the $150 outside vendor fee. smile27.gif

Hmm well for music, I was going to go with the DJ. I figure I can give the DJ a list of some definite songs he should play and he can just go with the flow. The reggae band sounds nice, but it was a little out of my price range. I hope the DJ is good.

Ok I checked out Sungold...their portfolio looks awesome. I emailed them for more info and most importantly pricing!

I have a more important question...I haven't had a chance to read about the way the Marriage License works in Jamaica. Would it be best to get a marriage License in New York (b/c that's where i live) first? Or just the License from Jamaica and file it with my county clerks office?

Ughh...please help!

Thanks Ladies!!!
