The most important thing is to find something you feel so confident and gorgeous in. After that- everything else is just small details, including the color. White is a traditional color and if you aren't into tradition, I don't see any reason why you should follow it. My dress was light gold- def not a stark white, but it was still a softer color. I loved it! I think you should go with it and forget what others will think!
