FI doesn't want a video, but I can probably talk him into it - I just wasn't sure if I wanted one either. But I think I do. I don't need the best quality videographer - and I think I can get it for a decent price. Also, I think I am ok with just getting the ceremony recorded.

Here is what the Las Caletas package offers - let me know what you think about this. Since I am an idiot when it comes to this stuff, am I to assume that you pay $575 for the videographer, then the additional amounts to add on those services? In english, what am I getting for the $575 - just raw footage?

Keep in mind that it might be a little more expensive since anything I want has to be taken over on the boat to Las Caletas!

It looks to me like the edited package is $575. The Adventure pkg looks like the unedited version. Could be wrong, though. The optional add on for $75 is just if you want them to do a photo montage on your video. That sounds like an awfully small amount for an edited package, if it really is $575. Also, I would ask to have all of the raw footage as well, even if you do go with an edited video.

Since I totally hijacked the other thread (sorry!), I decided to move these to a new thread. I really am wondering what all this means, and if it's a good deal or not. I don't even know if I know enough to ask my WC intelligent questions!

Thanks for the feedback so far, Amanda (umm, it IS Amanda, right? - lol)

Hi Ann,

I won't be too much help here but I can let you know that we paid for the $575 package and, yes we haven't recieved it yet but the videographer was with us the whole night (well from when all our guests arrived at the boat dock in PV until our final dance at Las Caletas and he recorded everything. He also took one of our wedding cd's to incorporate that music into the video! Again I am not too sure if that helps at all but I know that particular package encompassed everything on our wedding day (he even came to get some shots of us getting ready) Well hope this helps a little...not too sure if it will or not but thought i would put it out there!

That does help, Ali - I wasn't sure if it was just the ceremony or not. Do you know if the videographer puts it all together for you and makes it "presentable" - like to music and everything? It really sounds like he does. That doesn't seem like a bad price to me, but this isn't something I've looked into at all. Would you mind showing me the video when you get it, if at all possible? Or at least let me know how it turned out?

TammyM - I haven't asked Leigh, but I guess it can't hurt! But I don't know that I'd be willing to spend the $$ to fly someone additional in for this, especially since Paul doesn't even think he wants this.

Hey Ann,

Yes the videographer will cut and paste and edit it all for you and make it very presentable...as soon as ours arrives I would be happy to post it for you...if I can figure out how to post it (my brother in law taped most of the night as well and I still can't figure out how to get his on the web...I want to just so everyone can see the area better but can't seem to figure it out!) But yes...I will let you know all the details when it arrives here!

Awesome - thanks, Ali!! Did you get the other 2 options, or have any idea what they are (the Optional Video Photo Clip or the Adventure Video Package)? I can always ask Nicole too.

For those of you that hired a videographer - is this a pretty good price? It sounds like it's the entire evening, and an edited video. Seems pretty good to me.

The photo clip one is actually on one of those sites that Nicole posted...now I cant' remember which one it is but if you look at them, one of them does have their wedding video on there and it is just that....all there wedding photos put to music and then jazzed up a bit (i mean fading from one pic to the next type thing) and the adventure package is just a cheaper version of the higher end one...for Jeff and I we figured we only plan on doing this once might as well go all out and get the best quality version versus the cheaper and then regretting it later! Oh and we didn't go for the photo clip one because we figure we could just do that ourselves with our own computer if we really wanted it!

Oh and on a side note if you now how to post videos on the web...could someone please tell me....they are both about 30 mins long (well will b...we haven't recieved the one from PV yet but we do have our brother-in laws!) Thanks again!
