Hello Everyone,

I just found this website and i am excited to read and post!

 

We are planning a destination wedding in the carribbean in April of 2008.

We are having a really hard time deciding where to book.

 

Our first choice was Jamaica. We have 2 children in the wedding and are having a really hard time finding resorts that allow children.

 

ANy suggestions anyone?

Welcome, Amanda! I LOVE the carribean, but since we wanted to honeymoon in Hawaii, it was just too far away. Paul and I vacationed in St. Kitts and LOVED it - I think that's where we would have gone. It's not as touristy yet - but that's part of the charm. We stayed at the Marriott there - beautiful!

 

Let us know how we can help - there are a couple Jamaica brides on here I think.

I have thought about that hotel chain. How were the packages? Do they offer a "free wedding" package at all do you know?

I actually work for Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

I am sure that the Sheraton (part of SHR) will take excellent card of you!

They do offer wedding packages and I know their prices for all inclusive are very reasonable...but I am not 2 sure the details of the wedding packages but know there are a few items that they offer for free

The hotel allows kids so you shouldn't have any problems with that...

I stayed at riu negril a few years ago and we really enjoyed it, I was also considering staying at riu ocho rios lst christmas but didnt like the fact that its approx 2 hour bus ride from the hotel to the resort
