Hey Amy,
I only have 27 guests which is still small and we are still undecided where to have our reception too. I know that i want outside either pool side, beach or the open air restaurant. The open air restaurant is nice but I think it's just way too big for only 27 people....it might look funny. We are not spending money on a DJ since there are only 27 of us.....we might just go to the disco afterwards or I might set up an IPOD. I would like to have at least one dance with my Dad and FI so that's why we would need to bring an IPOD or something.

I had checked about matches and TSA bans them for both carry-on and checked baggage. Fireworks like look a no-go too. TSA: Prohibited Items

I had origiannly booked the Mint breeze package for my wedding but later changed it to the Strawberry Passion instead and they had no problem with that and it was super easy. Hope this helps

Hi Sabrina,
Currently, we have the Palmeras Grill booked for our reception, we only chose this location because the nights can become pretty cool in February. I might change my mind and go with the pool side reception due to the overwhelming size of the grill. We are also doing the IPOD thing... we definitely want to dance and will probably head to the disco as well.

Hi, I am planning on getting married at Barcelo Palace as well and I was wondering if the fire dancers were apart of a specific package or how that worked out... that is a great idea.

the fire dancers are a separate purchase. You get 45 minutes on fire dancers and stick walkers for $1500.

Just wanted to let you all you lovely Barcelo brides know that Claudia has been A LOT more responsive to my emails, questions, etc. Just within the past couple of days she's emailed me 3 times! My wedding is 7 weeks away, so now the finalizing is well on its way. I never bothered her anyways being that I know they have tons of weddings and would begin to contact me much closer to the wedding date. So for everyone stressing out and worried about anything, please don't be. When you're approaching your wedding date, they will take care of any questions or concerns asap.

I have heard that some resorts offer webcams to brides and grooms who want to to cast their wedding vows online (especially for those folks who can't be there.) I think that is such a great idea! I would love to do that if possible. Has anyone heard about this? Does Barcelo offer it?
