Hi Angelina,

I cannot open your links to the centerpieces and bouquets. Would you mind emailing them to me when you get a chance? My email is [email protected]. THANKS!

How exciting that your wedding is so close! Good luck with everything :-) Let us know how everything goes when you get back!

Is there any advice you would like to share?

I thought I would also attach the copies of bouquet options/centerpiece (or center peaces as they would call them wink.gif options just in case you wanted to see what the resort offers :)

Lots of love,

Angelina

Sigh, yeah this is my biggest hangup about this hotel...  We've booked an outside photographer and this is the reply I got from Xhail last week about it:

it is okay for me, but remember that for external photographers we have a policy in the hotel about the photographer. Barceló Maya Beach Resort has changed its provider for the photo and video solutions. Barceló Maya Beach Resort has an exclusive contract with Kodak & Smile Market. this policy mention that external photographers are not allowed in the hotel, but if the photographer is one of your gests or he is staying in the resort for minimum 2 nights, you will not have a problem. If they are going to be staying for only one night or if they come in the hotel just for the wedding day, you have to pay $300 usd fee to Kodak. If you want to book a room for them you have to contact your Travel Agent and she will book the room also for them, or call the call center in order to do it you directly

So I guess nothing has really changed about their outside photographers policy.  :(

I know, I would have hoped that the new photography company would have been an improvement, but so far it doesn't appear to be.

I looked up the price of booking at the Beach or Caribe, which worked out to be $480USD for two nights, plus the extra $66 or whatever it is to have them at the dinner.

I came across another bride on Unofficial Barcelo forum who paid the $300 fee and it sounds like she didn't have to pay for a day pass, just the dinner, but I'm not sure.  I hope that's the case, as the photographer I booked has an assistant and I'd have to pay for passes and dinner for both.

I'll try and ask my WC about it.  She takes a long time to get back to me and by her replies I'm not sure that she always understands what I'm asking, but I'll let you know what she says.

Their package price is quite high.  I would hope the quality it better.

I have a quick question for everyone.  We leave for Cancun in a week, flying Aeromexico, I was planning on carrying my dress on, but given that it will not be the exact dimension of a typical carry-on, I'm a little concerned about them not letting me bring it on.  I've heard that you can put it in one of their closets, but that's supposed to be for premier class only.  Does anyone have any experience with this?  Thanks.....I'm starting to get a little freaked out about the little last minute details!

Everyone was super friendly about allowing me to hang my dress in the airplane closet... or letting it take up an entire overhead bin. Don't sweat it. But try your dress on and know how to bustle it. These were things I didn't do but wish I had. ;)
