DDBentley15- were the stolen items taken out of the room safe? I'm always paranoid about using them.

I know that last question wasn't directed at me, but if any consolation when we stayed for our site visit in July at the tropical, we left an iphone, blackberry, wallets with cash and passports and American id's and we didn't have a problem. But hearing from a larger group would be more reassuring...

 

I will for sure let you know how the wedding goes...we leave Saturday!!!

No, the stolen items weren't taken out of a safe.

 

It was kind of strange...we had 2 different incidents. One room had some clothes stolen and some prescription drugs. Another had clothes stolen (nice jeans, shirt) and a nintendo DS. The strange part was that they had dug through a backpack because they had put the wrong cell phone back into the wrong backpack.

Thanks for the info- I am going to stress to everyone that they should leave all valuables in the safe. I went down for my site visit in January and didn't have any problems and am hoping for the same thing in May!

We didn't experience any problems either. We brought our iphones, an expensive camera, our wedding bands, credit cards/money as did our guests and nothing was touched, whether in the safe or outside of the safe. I would keep the most important and expensive items in the safe however. The review was such a disappointment to read. Our wedding was wonderful and everything we wanted without a single error. Our family and friends haven't stopped talking about how incredible it was and it's been over a month already!

We are getting married on July 1!!! Maybe we will end up seeing each other. Congrats!! We have 40guests booked so far-what about you?

I'm getting close to my wedding date...March 20th (!) and am slowly realizing that I have to take a ton of things down there with me! LOL. But, I have a couple of questions....

1. What sorts of things did you guys put in your welcome bags?

So far, I have:

Immodium, Advil, Bandaids, anti bac, body wash, lotion, and was planning on

getting chips and candy once I got down to Riviera Maya...anything I'm missing

or anything else I can add? I have about 35 bags to put together.

2. Are you ladies doing favors, and if so, what?
