Hey everyone!

I did post a review along with the pictures, but I guess I have to post it in the review section. So if you'd like to check out the review, it's under the Barcelo Maya reivew section, http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/barcelo-maya-palace-deluxe-all-inclusive/reviews  .

PS- Michelle@ Artistique, WOW!! Great sneak peak, can't wait to see the rest!! It took me off guard there for a second when I saw those, I was thinking "Hey I didn't take those!??!!??!" :)

April 28th Bride,

What a beautiful bride!!  Your pictures are awesome!!!

Thanks so much for the review.  You have definently addressed some of my concerns.  My WC is Claudia too and she is fantastic on emailing me back!  I too have hired Adrian and his team.  Can't wait now after your review!!

Just a quick question for you.  Was your wedding bouquet the one included in your package or did you upgrade?  I'm trying to get an idea of what the included bouquet looks like.  Also was your chair covers and sashes included or were they extra?

Thanks so much for including your tips.

Thanks again!!

Jess

Hey Jess, Thanks!! And to answer some of your questions.... The bouquet that I got was included in the package, no upgrade was done. Claudia will show you a giant binder full of pictures. She told me all the flowers in the pictures are included, I didn't see a picture of my actual bouquet, but my fave flowers are calla lillies so I went with those and then I wanted something really colorful so the bouquet will stand out, therefore I picked pink gerbers ( I love pink)!! Lol. They have lots of different flowers to choose from in that binder!! As for the chairs and sashes, those were all included in the package. You have a few different colors to choose from if you ask Claudia! Hope this helps! :) and happy planning! You will love every moment of your wedding, trust me!! ;)

I am getting married November 17th this year, and have already purchased the following for decor :

- 3 bags of assorted sea shells

- 42 starfish

- flameless candles

- 4 large yellow candle holders

- 6 medium yellow candle holders

- 6 small yellow candle votives

- 16 8inch white lanterns

- 4 photo frames for guest book signing table

(PICTURES ATTACHED)

I also plan on bringing the following :

- Cake cutter and server

- 2 vases for the sand ceremony to hold the sand

- Additional flameless candles

- Yellow organza table runners

- Yellow flower petals (do they allow silk for table decoration??)

- Fancy pen and holder for the guest book table and signing wedding license

- A number of large vases for various uses

- A bunch of other stuff that I just can't think of right this minute!!

After the wedding I really don't need any of the above, so would anyone else be interested in sharing? Will save you paying for extra luggage fee's to drag all that stuff down there!

As photographer, I have covered about 20 weddings  at Barcelo Maya resorts. I would like now share my experience and  I decide to dedicate a REVIEW on my page including photos and advice to imagine the best day on the resort according to  the ceremony you want, the amount of guests you invite and the weather season in the Riviera Maya.

I hope this  REVIEW of WEDDINGS at BARCELO MAYA RESORTS will help you to  prepare this  unique day!

Our daughter got married at the Barcelo on Saturday, April 30th.  As previous brides have stated, everything was perfect!  Our wedding coordinator (Gabriela) met us the day after we arrived, showed us the locations for the wedding, the cocktails, and the reception and then spent about 45 minutes with us going over details.

My daughter and her bridesmaids had pre-booked Adrian and his crew to do their hair/make-up and that was worth every penny.

The wedding was on the beach at 3:00 p.m., followed by cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the roof-top, and dinner at 6:00 p.m. in the Tule 3 banquet room  The only minor complaint was the beef tenderloin (served at dinner) was over-done and tough. The rest of the meal was superb!  The staff at the hotel went out of their way to make everything perfect.

Gabriela was around for every part of the day (she picked up the bridal party and brought to them to the beach in a golf cart); she liaised with the musician, the officiant, the person working the iPod music, escorted the guests to the rooftop reception and the dinner, made sure the banquet room was set up the way we wanted it, introduced us to the wait staff, showed us how to use the sound system for our music, etc., etc.

The flowers picked by the bride were beautiful, and we ordered flowers for the bridemaid's hair (all of which were delivered to the room in lots of time for the hairdresser).

The bride was totally relaxed about all the details (that's why mom is posting this because I made all the arrangements) and we can't say enough about a destination wedding being the perfect way to celebrate a relaxing day!  All the guests had a great time.
