Club Marival

Has anyone on here been married at Marival in Neuvo Vallarta? I read on another bride form that some of the wedding package prices include dinner for all the guests. The bride who posted it said she paid about $1300 and it included a cocktail and sit-down dinner for approximately 30 guests of hers. I was wondering if anyone else had experience with resorts that include private dinners for the reception as part of the package (but for beyond 10-20 people)?

FINALLY! I've finally found another bride for the Marival in Nuevo Vallarta! We're planning our wedding for February, 2009. How was yours? I would sincerely appreciate ANY advice you can offer! Was your DW legal? Where did you hold your ceremony? Reception?

Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I'm not a bride there but I've been to a wedding there. It was absolutely fabulous! There was about 30 guests. It is a little bit away from the fun part of the city from what I remember. The drive from the airport seems long also, but probably because I was excited to get there. The resort is really nice though!

Thanks so much for your input! It's so nice chatting with someone who's experienced a wedding at the Marival! While we're familiar with the resort, it certainly is different once you're viewing the facility through 'wedding eyes' as opposed to 'just' a great vacation!

Do you recall where on the resort the ceremony and reception were held? ie. ceremony on the beach or garden? Reception in one of the restaurants our outside? As a wedding guest, was there anything that you 'wanted' for or would have preferred? I just know we'll have a better time if our guests are happy!

You were asking about a private reception...this may sound like a silly answer but the resort wedding coordinator should offer a breakdown of cost/person. There are usually minimums (ie. 15 guests). In some cases, your group can essentially 'take over' a restaurant if you don't mind a few strangers in the room and this can be part of your wedding package (so you don't pay/guest). On the other hand, even their private dinners are usually so affordable when compared to a traditional banquet facility.

Hope this helps a bit. When/where is your wedding or are you still in the discovery phase?

I am looking in to Marival for my wedding, it seems like they have great wedding packages. I have been trying to find info on the resort and have not found to much....it makes me nervous. Have you been there before? Is it nice, updated, good food, etc.? If anyone has any pics or any additional info please email me [email protected]

Thanks!

My sister had her wedding at the Grand Marival in Nuevo Vallarta in 2003 and it was wonderful!! In my opinion, the resort itself was one of the best in the area. Tons of things provided in the all-inclusive resort package, great food, and close to alot of other amnenities (sp?) like a shopping plaza, dolphin swim, etc...in the area. The wedding itself was beautiful...right on the beach at sunset. We had a private dinner outside of a restaurant (kind of like a patio to the restaurant) and it was so nice because it was just "us".

The whole concept of a DW was so great that I decided to do it myself although we're doing ours on the carribean side of Mexico (Mayan Riviera).

I haven't found anything current - but I did have a bride get married there last winter, and they said the wedding was fabulous...my best friend is getting married at the Marival on January 21st - and we're staying there for a week Jan 16 - 23 - so I will have lots of info and a full review when I get back!
