Asking guests to stay at an all-inclusive resort

Recommended Posts

Just as an alternative view, I personally have no interest in AI's and would be very disappointed if I had to go to one in order to go to a DW. I would be much happier spending the $80 day pass. It really does depend though- if you want a wedding group who is big into the group scene then it sounds like a good way for you to go. It would never work for my group because every guest is divorced from another! (well not quite, but 6 of the guests there are all split up former couples)

Just to offer another perspective. I think it really depends on your group though. I guess you need to decide how you feel if a guest who's really important to you does not want to stay at the AI- will they still be invited?

^^ I totally understand what you're saying.

For us personally, though, it was $5,000 extra we had to factor in if just half of our guests stayed at a different resort, because we wouldn't make them pay their own pass to our wedding after coming down to our DW. It didn't make us want to invite certain people, less or more, just narrowed down our guest list from say, 200 to 150.

Two different views on this, but good to know for those who are planning :)
