what is your "something old"?

So far I have my something new (dress) and my something blue (earrings).. but I have no idea what I will do for my something borrowed and something old...

 

I would love it if a woman in my family had something to share with me to wear, but I am also a little concerned it won't go with my attire (that's bad, I know).

 

Is this something you can ask for, or should I wait for my shower and see if something is offered? I just want my attire to be finished!

My something borrowed was DH's grandmothers hankie. The hankie was very handy!

My old was my grandmothers pearls.

I wore my great grandma's necklace that she, my grandma, and my aunt wore for their weddings. At first I was only going to wear it during the ceremony because it was gold and didn't "go" with anything else I was wearing.. it's funny how emotional I became on my wedding day and I couldn't bear to take it off. The chain was too long and you couldn't even see the pendant but I didn't care... at the reception my grandma told me to keep the necklace and pass it to my daughter.

My something old, new and blue are all the same thing....I had this blank...well a bathrobe I turned into a blanket when I was younger that my mom kept and she will be turning into my garter! So I get something old, new and blue all in the same thing - and no one will see it for the most part except for the garter toss!!!!

A ring my Grandmother gave me when I turned 13. I had wanted it since I was a little girl it is two love birds with a ruby in between them. She finally gave it to me when I was a "big girl"

I borrowed my moms tennis bracelet and my something old was a pearl ring that TK gave me for Christmas after the 1st year we dated (7 years before we got married)
