we thought the whole blood test thing was a little weird, it was no big deal though. the doctor came to our room the morning after we got there, opened the needles in front of us, and took our blood. they said it is to test for STD's.. the process only took about five minutes.

For the centerpieces questions.... we didnt order anything extra, and they had nice bowls with sand and shells in them.

Also for the person wondering how far in advance to book, I just booked on January 7th for April 1st (I didn't realize it was April Fool's day! Although not as bad as Friday the 13th, and I hear April Fool's ends at noon and we are getting married at 4pm). When I booked that date, they had the 2 days before, and the day after also available at 4pm. Maybe April isn't that busy. They do up to 2-3 weddings a day, so I guess they have more availability then the places that do max 1 per day.
They must have changed this because when I was married there they were only doing one wedding a day, two only if one of the weddings was very small.

I must admit, when I heard this I was a little disappointed, but I suppose this can't be helped,

It's probably because they have become so popular for weddings in the past year, they probably have to do more to accomodate everyone. Although, the time of year you are going the resort is not as busy. Also, if you have it on a weekday you have less chance of having other weddings the same day because most people want friday, saturday and sunday.

Knorris27~ did you have to ask for the bowls with sand and shells or did they do that for you automatically? Do you know what other free centerpiece options they give you if any?

Does the pyramid building have elevators?

What times do the bars close? I hear they close early; do all of them?

Anyone know the taxi rate back to the airport from Dreams?

I asked two days ago what came on the tables and was told only votives. Below is my question and the wc response...

What comes on the reception tables?

If you dont want to purchase centerpieces we have votive candles for the

tables. Your Package comes with chairs with white covers and white

linens

set up.

i had looked at the list and prices and didnt want to pay extra. we never discussed it, they just put them on the tables.

yes, there are elevators. and there are only 5 floors.

i think the bars close around 1am? i know the bar attached to the resort is open til 4am. we only went once. some of my other guests went in big groups and had fun, when i went, it was only with a few people and it was kind of cheesy :-)

we went through apple vacations, so we had transportation.

hope this helps!!
