Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

I think that's a killer deal! Claudia Rodriguez has a 4 hr package for $5000! And even Juan Navarro is $3500 for 4 hrs. Bring your own is what I say! I'm paying my photographer and her assistant's (who happens to be her hubby) 4night vacay at dreams in turn for 8hrs wedding photos and a TTD session. Splurging on my video but no one else would do :)

I am also bring my own photographer and wouldn't do it any other way...espeicially if it fits your budget. I'm sure the resort photographer is fine if you don't have the budget...however I didn't want just 4 hours of shots...I wanted the 3 days...rehearsal dinner and shots around Cancun...with Dreams being downtown I want that local culture in my pics. They will shoot the day of and then the TTD after...you don't feel like you are on a time crunch and will truly capture all of those moments you wouldn't get with a resort photographer with such a limited time. IMO I say do it if you have it in your budget....I truly don't think you will regret it!!!!

There packages for full day are usually around and over 2 grand each... but they want to do our wedding for cost (about 900 each) and will even shoot our TTD the day after (both of them... in the cenote underwater and on the beach later on) and possibly some of the day before our wedding just soaking up some local flavor!!!! Only problem is, they both want 4 nights each with their spouses. It's crazy.... but basically, since they are going to be away from home, and they aren't going to be making money out of us, they want to enjoy some sun on their own with their wives (and they want the 4th day because they will be shooting us for 3). What would you guys do.... all in all, if you figure in that I'm getting a full day photo and video, and a a beach/cenote video and photo shoot , and possible more which all together would probably normally cost 6 grand!
so you would be paying the 900 and their stay for four nights? that seems a little pricy (sp?) but you are getting three days so it would balance out. i just know that for that kind of money i would go with del Sol (but it would only be for the day of the wedding lol)!!

Guest iluckie

wow all those photo proposal are awasome, just be sure the photographer knows or gives some time to know the area for magical places, the must beautifull places are not easy to find, and in Parks you may get less pictures than usuall due to the crowd, congrats all of you Brides!

Did I also mention that our Album will be included (one of those flush mount coffee table ones) and possible my engagement/boudoir at home? I just feel it's too good to pass up (plus it's the owners doing it and not the auxillary staff, which usually you have to get the most extensive package to get them). But money is tight! ahhhhhh, guess I have to sleep on it.. the best is that they aren't forcing us to choose now.

I don't like seeing our Dreams Cancun thread on the second page, so I had to write something :)

Are any of you taking advantage of the free golfing? I heard it's about an hr away and there is no shuttle, so you have to figure out your own transportation...that kinda sucks.

I don't like this second page business either! :)

I don't think any of us will do the free golf...

Does anybody have the file that has all of the flower options? I looked back in the thread and couldn't find any info on the bouquet options, hopefully I didn't miss it but there was a lot to go through.

Hi,

Sorry if other brides asked this before, I couldn't find it in this thread.

I'm hiring an outside photographer for my wedding (Citlalli from Claudia's team), who requested dinner for her and her assistant. How does it work? Do they sit with us when we eat? Would the eating be part of my time?
