We have made a seating arrangement which I have NO idea if they will go with what we want or they do it on there own. As far as I know I think the only thing u can choose is how many tables/how many ppl at each table, you might be able to get away with name cards and specific seating for each guest. We plan to just have our guest sit where ever they want during dinner cause we don't really care about the dinner, its the after dinner reception where we want all our decorations and table cards and such to happen:)

I think for wedding favors, we are doing like gold picture frames with a picture of each guest and that will act as the seating arrangement in a way??

Does anyone know about legal ceremony vs. symbolic? we are doing legal but hope to still do our own vows and have my cousin read a poem....

I think for the legal ceremony, you would have to do the blood test and be in Mexico 2 business days before the wedding ceremony. The symbollic ceremony is just the ceremony without any legalities linked to it. I believe in both, you should be able to do your own vows and readings. You would just have to bring that up to the WC's attention before the wedding. I mentioned it to Jazmin, and she said it was fine. She asked for the name of the person doing the reading, and the actual reading itself. I didnt mention anything about vows, but I also sent her a ceremont program with the order of the events for the ceremony and she said it was fine as well, so I think they can try to accomodate to your wants.

Hey everyone!  I realized I am getting married in 40 days and I am so excited!

I have a few questions I am hoping someone knows the answer to.

Does anyone know what brand of makeup they use at the spa?

Can I rent the draped fabric when I get there for the Akumal beach location?

Do they have table numbers there or do I need to bring my own?

There are about 50 of us attending and I am worried we will have trouble getting the party started for our pool side reception does anyone have any ideas to ensure everyone is engaged?

-H

I emailed jazmin about having my cousin read a poem and allowing us to do our own vows before the judge officiated everything but I have not yet heard back.

I'm doing the symbollic ceremony because the we wanted to avoid all the hassle of the blood test and arriving early. Some of our guests are limited to the number of days they can stay, so I didnt want the legalities to interfere with that. So technically, I'm already a married woman!! :) we had our legal ceremony on october 4th at city hall. Now it's just time to party! I think Jazmin might be on vacation right now, at least from what I was told.

Hiya could you tell me how you found out about the symbolic ceremony as I'm keen to find out more to avoid hassle like yourself and get the marriage certificate quicker getting married in london than wait 6 mths!

Eerythin

Can any previous GBP brides say how long it took them to receive their marriage certificates? Everything I have read says 3 months but I am not sure what peoples actual expenriences have been. It has to be appostilled by the government there. In Canada the certificate is then valid but to get your name changed you have to have it legally translated.
