Paloma just advised me that we are required to be at the resort 2 full business days prior to getting married.  We are not getting legally married we are just doing the symbolic ceremony is his true??  We don't until the evening of Nov 23 and we want to get married on the 26 at 2pm.

I have heard the same thing, and i believe it is 4 days for a legal ceremony.... But i could be off base here as I don't have first hand experience myself yet.

I talked her into letting me confirm all my details via email if I can't get a decent flight out the day before so I am in the clear!   Did they confirm a poolside party for you in coba.  They confirmed my wedding date and location but not the pool side party I requested. It is making me a bit nervous.

I got married Nov 2012 and we had our dinner at Dolce La Vita ( AMAZING dinner) and then had a poolside reception. The pool that we had our reception was right beside the Dolce ( id suggest seeing if that pool is available). When we we finished dinner we only walked a few feet to our dance party. We could see them setting up everything during dinner which got everyone really excited. They also set up tables and chairs at the reception site for those who do not feel like dancing.

I also had handmade maracas at my wedding in Nov/12. We bought them from the market at the resort for $2 each. You have to do some digging and negotiating but all our guests loved them!

Yeah I was going to do that at first, and then do OOT bags as favors, but when I saw the other handmade maracas, I thought WOW that would make a GREAT favor and be easier to deal with since I don't have to pack it.  Still got time to think about it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Can you get these personalised? We are getting our initial painted on them and they are also doing a handmade tag. Appreciate the details as that could an option as prices are rising higher than our budget x

We are still in the process of negotiating a group quote through Westjet so we haven't given them a booking number. Paloma said she will assign us a WC to go over all of the details (and confirm the reception) once we submit. Seems kind of silly to me though.. what if by the poolside reception area isn't available and we already paid for the trip (and we don't want to do semi private).

 

Have you given them your booking number and it's still not confirmed? I'm sure it will all come together
