Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone has used the resort spa for their make-up? Tlseege i think maybe you did? I read a couple reviews on here but it doesn't seem like too many people use them for make-up... Has anyone used them, or know what type of make-up they use? It seems like a lot less of a hassle then bringing someone in..but i don't want my make-up to suck either!!!

Yup, I used them, as did a few of my bridesmaids.  We were very happy.  However, we're also not huge makeup wearers so not necessarily sure we could tell the difference!

Hi ladies who have already been... I have a couple of questions about restaurants at GBP. I haven't received any response from the resort itself, so hoping you can help me out.

We are staying at Tulum...does this mean we also have access to the buffets at Akumal and Coba?

Are the a la carte restaurants open (and free) for breakfast and lunch?

Is it possible to book your a la carte restaurant reservations before you arrive, or do you have to do this on site?

Is the Hacienda Dona Isabella accessible to all guests?

Gracias!

Are the a la carte restaurants open (and free) for breakfast and lunch? Only certain ala cartes are open for breakfast and lunch.  They are still buffet, not sit down.  Gran Tortuga is one of the Tulum breakfast options.  Smaller selection, but less busy.

Is it possible to book your a la carte restaurant reservations before you arrive, or do you have to do this on site? Some people have luck booking before they arrive... some (such as myself) do not.  It's a gamble.

Is the Hacienda Dona Isabella accessible to all guests? Yes, except on Thursday evenings when you'd have to purchase a pass to the Mexican Fiesta.

Gracias!

So I'm looking into wedding colors.  My invites were silver and black which I find really chic, but I was looking into brighter colors for my bouquet and as accents.  I'm really drawn to plum but thats another dark color.  So I was wondering if anyone had plum in their bouquet from the resort.  I can't download the brochures yet, still working on my 150 posts!

Thanks!

I think plum with pops of green would be REALLY beautiful.

And i forgot the picture.  Ugh!  Sorry!  Basically the beach was being very well restored.  They already had dump trucks of sand brought it.  However the piers are completly gone, the beach bars are completely gone, the palayas were in ruins, and the wedding structure is down to three sticks.

However, they were working really hard at fixing everything.  It's probably even fixed by now (with exception to the piers and bars)
