Good to know yeemein! We're planning on going to a cenote outside of the resort - I'm hoping we won't run into the same problems - but from other TTD pics i've seen at cenotes -I've taken note which ones they are so hopefully all is well

We're planning on doing a TTD at the cenotes as well. Will let you know if we come across any issues. Which ones were you planning on going to? Ahhhh ... 2 more days till we leave .

Shan, split it up among suitcases.  Bring a sign in spanish that says it's for the wedding of X & X on May 25, 2012.  And then pray for a green light.  I didn't have receipts for all of my stuff, but it worked out just fine in the end.

 

In crazy news, the Gran Bahia has a pinterest account!!!  And they have a weddings section.  And of that weddings section it's almost all my pictures that I've taken at the resort... or pictures of ME!  HA!  http://pinterest.com/bahiaprincipe/caribbean-weddings/

Thank you TIseege for clarifying on the ceremony music and the Mexico customs. I have put all of my wedding stuff in just 2 duffle bags. I have made receipts in excel for everything. I am taking 1 of the duffle bags and my mom is taking the other for me. That is a great idea - putting a note in the bag indicating it is for a wedding. Thank you for all your help! I am definetly giving our bridal party their gifts before we go.

Ooooo yes! let me know how it all works for you! I'm going to need to figure out details on getting there and back with our photographer. I know you can get a cab there easily

but what about on the way back? It could be hours! can't exactly tell the guy to wait either..lol

We're looking at going to one of these: Cenote Kantunchi , Cenote Azul, or Hidden Worlds

 I dont really want to go to the Gran Cenote - its very touristy and busy - would rather go to the quieter ones

thanks Tlseege! I had no idea there was limits about bringing personal stuff. This is gonna be difficult!! Everything from centerpieces to favors to OOT bag stuff

I guess i'll be asking a lot of my people to bring stuff down for me...grrrr

Great News everyone, I just emailed the wedding coordinator asking about the 300 dollar limit. Eugenia has said its a concern when its over 3000.00 US not 300 US ..she said I will have no problems! Just thought I would share that information with everyone. I'm not too sure if thats accurate or not though

Can everyone share how the are coordinating the bride/groom entrance. We are having a an outdoor poolside reception and I'm still torn whether or not I really want one a "entrance". I don't think I will do my wedding party....any suggestions or ideas of how you guys are or did coortinate this?

I've read on the forum that when the bridal couple has an "entrance" when they have dinner in one of the restaurants, their wedding coordinator orchestrates it.

Maybe ask Eugenia?
