Really sorry that you girls are having troubles with Yuritza... Jazmin was usually pretty good about getting back to me.

 

If you girls are getting married on (or staying at) the Akumal side, I'm pretty sure there's nothing Jazmin can do but here's her email address just in case:

Sarah - I think the set menu means you have to pick the same thing for everyone. So eveyone has to have the chicken, or the fish, or the steak, etc. You can't have one chicken, three fish and five steaks... I hope that makes sense.

Sarah - just saw that you're getting married in November - I just wanted to let you know (and to calm your nerves) that Jazmin didn't really hop on our plans until about three months before...

 

Oh, and I just got an email back from Citlalli - we should be getting our pictures today or tomorrow!!!!! Can't wait!!!!

I was told the same thing, she'll contact you blah blah blah...well it's less than 2 months to my wedding and the woman has sent me two emails, one generic thing I'm sure she sends out to all and another that said she'd be contacting me soon (this was after my travel agent called her to see what was going on 4 times)... I have not received another email from her. Not to freak you out but this woman is one of the least organized and least professional people I've dealt with in this kind of situation where people are literally putting out thousands of dollars, if I were you I would contact Irma again, express your fears about Yuritzia, tell her about the bad reviews she's getting (there's a couple about her on Trip Adviser as well) and ask to have someone new or you're switching resorts, (that's the threat my travel agent had to use to get Yuritzia to email me). It's too late for me...but save yourself... lol

Yeah, I was very optimistic when she e-mailed me at the very beginning of January! I thought "alright, here we go!" But then the e-mails STOPPED! i did get enough out of here that I'm satisfied with the most important portion of my wedding (the private reception). However, I had a lot of other questions. Given that I can do most of the stuff when I get down there so it's not TOO important that she answers my questions... but it'd be nice to know she cares!

Just wanted to add that at this location you get the sunflower arrangements on both sides for free - if you don't like them, I'm sure you can not have them. They are silk I believe (but I never did get a good look at them).

I can't see the picture's anyway you can send them to me?? As I would love to see them as Iam also using the same photographer and would like to see how your hair turned out...I can see the hair idea and it is very beautiful....Congratulation's on the wedding...

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum... I wish i found this site 8 months ago. My wedding is March 29,2008. At Gran Bahia Tulum. I am starting to get really nervous. I guess not being able to really do anything until we get down there is very frustrating. Any advice is greatly appreciated. We are aslo thinkeing to change are legal wedding to a renewel of the vows. And just get married here by the court. has anybody done this? I wanted to know if the guests had any idea. or was it just like any other wedding? Thanks for any info. Melissa
